Ducati Fight for Me Fragrance (w/video)

posted by Toni M. in: Accessories Video Ducati

When we read the title Ducati Fight for Me, we thought it was relative to some comment that Valentino Rossi or Nicky Hayden had said in an interview, instead we found out it was Ducati’s latest product that has nothing to do with motorcycles, but is their new fragrance for men.

Launched earlier this month by Perfume Holding at the trendy OS Club in Roma, the market’s target is young male consumers between the ages of 15 and 25 who love motorcycles and particularly Ducati.

The scent according to perfumer Christophe Reynaud, is intense citrus notes of Calabrian bergamot combined with the fruity aroma of red apples, the freshness of soft violet leaves, lavender, geranium with a touch of amber, sandalwood and rosewood as well as soft moss tones and he compares it to a Ducati motorbike taking off, the red of the paintwork is reflected in the apple note, chrome in the silver leaves of the geranium and the character of male freedom in amber, wood and moss and the bottle is shaped like an accelerator handle.

Borse latelali Kappa TK760

Kappa presents the new TK760 side bags, a pair of saddle bags which can fit any sport tourer or naked bike. The TK760 bags belong to the Racer range and feature many technical developments, including fluorescent orange water-proof covers. They are made of 840D polyester fabric with some faux leather details.

These bags can be expanded in order to increase their capacity from 20 to 29 litres, and they keep their shape even in full load conditions thanks to their hard plastic inserts. The main compartment can be accessed from the top through a zip and a velcro flap. They also feature handy rectangular-shaped see-through pockets located on the rider’s side that can be reached without getting off the bike. Elastic web nets are there too, on the outer side.

The universal fixing system uses 2 velcro straps and a single safety strap in the middle. The bags come with 2 classic elastic bands with hooks as well. To carry them around, TK760 bags have handles and shoulder belt. The price is yet to be disclosed. More info at the Kappamoto website.

Voztec Helmet - A new idea in safety (w/video)

posted by Toni M. in: Accessories Video Helmets

Voztec is an Australian company who is developing this revolutionary idea for a full face motorcyle helmet that has a quick release feature that could save lives in case of head and suspected spinal injuries.

This particular helmet doesn’t slid down over your head, instead it opens up in the back to allow you easy access and removal, however it’s the emergency release pin feature located on the top of the hemet that could be extremely useful in the unfortunate case a motorcyclist is involved in an accident, as paramedics will be able to release the pin and completely lift off the front of the helmet (that doesn’t have a chin strap) without risk moving the head and neck of the rider unnecessarily.

Troy Bayliss gets the 3D treatment by Spyke (w/video)

posted by Toni M. in: Gear Accessories Personalities Video

While I was lurking around on Troy Bayliss’ Facebook page, trying to find out if he mentioned something more about Ducati’s new Superbike, I found this very cool video clip by Spyke, that looks more like a video game or something from the movie Tron: Legacy, than an advert for their Dynamic 360.0 and 2012 collection.

The say that the main character is a mysterious rider which will be revealed in the end, but you just have to look into those baby blues to immediately recognize Bayliss (the guy has eyes as unforgettable as Carl Fogarty’s) but apart from that, the video is very good and is produced by Metaverso and Realize Motion Graphics.

Enjoy.

The power increase depends on the bike equipping the exhaust and no figures specific to the Tiger are available. The IXIL Oval GP weighs 2.5 kg in weight and comes with removable db killer.

Homologated for road use, the new Triumph Tiger IXIL exhaust costs €336.36 and can be found in specialised stores. Also available in the Oval range are carbon, steel and black aluminium silencers - more information on distributors is availalbe on the IXIL site.

Valentino Rossi's 2011 Misano helmet

valentino rossi helmet misano 2011

For his home races Valentino Rossi usually debuts a new helmet design and for this year’s Misano GP he and Aldo Drudi came up with this ironic idea that he showed off this morning during FP3.

We think the design is pretty self explanatory considering the difficulties he has riding the Ducati Desmosedici.

Last year for Misano he wore this ‘wake-up helmet.’

Acerbis also offers an offroad plastic range for bikes with new handguards, headlights, seat, handlebars, fuel tank and plastic fairings components.
