2010 Suomy gloves Ipermotard and Kangaroo

New Suomy gloves for 2010 include the Ipermotard and Kangaroo models. The Ipermotard represents a glove made specifically for this growing market in motorcycle gear and it’s made from 100 percent soft leather with carbon and metal reinforcements across the knuckles. The finger part of the Suomy Ipermotard glove is shaped slightly for an ergonomical fit and has breathable parts and “fish scale” work for greater mobility.

The Ipermotard glove also features anti-slip material across the palm and thumb for better handling, while the ring and pinky finger are knit together for better protection in the case of a fall. Velcro closures are part of the glove, which is available in four different colours from sizes XS to XXL.

The Suomy Kangaroo glove is made from kangaroo leather with again, the carbon fibre and magnesium reinforcements in the knuckles. It also has wrist protection and the same style of ergonomic finger shape and breathability. Palm and thumb have grip material included and the stitching on the glove is made from kevlar for greater durability. Jorge Lorenzo's Glove after Phillip Island Crash

Jorge Lorenzo crashed at the first corner during Phillip Island GP after a bad start, overbraking and hitting the back of Nicky Hayden’s Ducati and breaking the front disc brake that sending him sliding and tumbling into the gravel.

Dainese techs studying Lorenzo’s Yamaha M1 telemetry data (GPS + accelerometry) in order to have more data on the function the Dainese D-Air Racing suit after his crash, found that Lorenzo was doing 240 km/h when he made contact with the Ducati and at the start of fall he was at 200 km/h,t hat slowed slightly before his impact with the ground at an acceleration of over 10g.

Lorenzo’s D-Air racing leathers deployment protected his shoulders and collar bone (injured during qualifying at Laguna Seca), saving him from much more severe damage.

The Full Metal Racer gloves with their reinforced backs in kevlar-carbonium with titanium inserts after over 6 seconds of rolling and skidding received a slight scuffing and Lorenzo suffered only small injury to the little finger of his right hand.

Leather motorcycle gear for spring from A-Pro

A-Pro has presented its spring motorcycle wear with the Centaur sports jacket, made from real leather with soft, CE certified protection and a modern and comfortable design. It is available in five different colours in sizes S to XXXL at a price of about 330 euros.

Women’s jacket Scintilla is also available, with a female fit and comfortable cut, though the look is the same. It costs about 325 euros and is available in five colours with sizes from XS to XXL.

The A-Pro jackets can be matched to “Intrepid” trousers, made from leather as a sports and high speed gear. It includes knee protections, with reinforced sides and removable sliders. It costs about 260 euros and is available in four colours, in European sizing 48 to 52.

Dainese X-ile leather motorcycle gloves

The glove is made from composite fibre with thermal carbon properties that provide maximum protection against impact and abrasion. The X-ile includes elastic inserts on the rear of the hand for greater movement and flexibility, while the palm is made from all leather with cushioning.

Alpinestar has some great motorcycle gear for 2009, including these C-2 Windstopper gloves and P-1 Sport Touring Drystar jacket.

The gloves are designed for colder climates are a finished in Gore-Tex fabric with nuckle protection and leather palms. They are longer at the wrist for great comfort and warmth, with elastic fabric and adjustable closure. They’re available in black from sizes S to 3XL.

The P-1 Sport Touring Drystar jacket is an all weather touring jacket, completely waterproof with light Cordura 500D material. It has a sports cut, removable padding and double front closure.
