<p>Kind of like the station wagon model in the <a href="http://www.twowheelsblog.com/categoria/kymco">Kymco scooter line-up</a>, the Agility Carry 50 4t is all about versatility and space on board the small scooter. Despite the popularity of Piaggio Group models in Europe, Kymco has been enjoying its own modest success of late, thanks to a complete model range and good value for money. This new model adopts past philosophies about the practicality of work vehicles, particularly in an urban context, and puts them together in a small but functional scooter.</p>
<p>The <a href='http://www.twowheelsblog.com/galleria/kymco-agility-carry-50-4t/'>Kymco Agility Carry 50 4t</a> is designed as a work horse (or pony, in this case?), but which can also be used for recreational riding, too. It&#8217;s a kind of new scooter crossover between work and free time and has a number of different storage options and functions. The heart of the scooter is the underseat space which is in a circular shape. There are both front and rear luggage racks and the foot area can hold a hard case carrier.</p>
<p>The model has the same young look as the standard Agility scooter, but with a touch of functionality too. The luggage areas are made from hard plastic and have heavyduty side handles so that the scooter can be easily moved. As we get from the pics, it makes it easy to carry bread by day, and beer by night.</p>

The Carry Kymco model is based on the Agility R12 with 12-inch wheels which is considered the most agile and stable of the Kymco 50cc models. The moto is a 50cc, four-stroke EURO2. Future versions will include a two-stroke 50cc, and a four-stroke 125cc. Colours are white or orange and the price, often the strong point for Kymco, is quite incredible at just €1,699. Additional accessories include the windshield and a document carry case.</p>

<p>The new Piaggio Beverly Tourer 300i will have a new competitor this summer in the form of the <a href='http://www.twowheelsblog.com/galleria/kymco-people-gti-300-2010-02/'>new Kymco People GTi 300</a>. The new Kymco scooter will be released sometime this month and is equipped with a four-stroke, 300cc, liquid cooled engine with 28.7 hp and 30 Nm. It has electronic ignition and a nine-litre tank capacity.</p>
<p>The People GTi 300 for 2010 is available in silver, white, black and orange, with the latter showing off a sporty style. The Kymco scooter has a tubular steel chassis with an hydraulic 37 mm fork and adjustable twin suspension at the rear. The brakes are a twin discs both rear and front measuring 260 mm.</p>
<p>The Kymco People GTi 300 has front wheels of 3&#215;16 inches and rear at 3.5&#215;16 both with five spoke design. They are shod with tyres of 110/70-16 at the front and 140/70-16 at the rear. The total weight of the scooter is 177 kg. The instrumentation is an analogical-digital mix with odometer, fuel and temperature indicator and a digital clock.</p>

<p>Another snazzy <a href="http://www.twowheelsblog.com/tag/2010+scooters">scooter for 2010</a> is the <a href="http://www.twowheelsblog.com/categoria/kymco">Kymco</a> People GT300i. It&#8217;s a new model for the People range, with a larger engine taken from the Xciting and Downtown models. The People GT300i will debut next spring and should provide some competition to the Honda SH300.</p>
<p>This Kymco People model has 32.8 hp, compared to the Honda&#8217;s 27 hp, and a modern and captivating style. The 16-inch wheels are an option that is often very successful on the European market, and to up the ante even more, the People GT300i has components in tint to provide the finishing touch on mirrors, top box etc.</p>
<p>To match the engine, the braking system is equally powerful with front and rear 260 mm discs with three piston, floating callipers. The seat is low and wide for a high wheel scooter, with a flat foot area, hook to secure luggage and a 12V power outlet. No pricing has been released, but the Kymco People GT300i should have a competitive option.</p>

<p>In our <a href="http://www.twowheelsblog.com/categoria/scooters">scooter a day</a> series is the new <a href="http://www.twowheelsblog.com/tag/kymco+like">Kymco Like</a> 200i, which has that mix of modern and retro style that seems to be successful in the European market. The Like 200i is one of a couple of new 2010 Kymco models that were presented at the <a href="http://www.twowheelsblog.com/tag/eicma+2009">2009 EIMCA show</a>, and it builds on the smaller Like model with decent quality at an affordable price.</p>
<p>The Kymco Like 200i has a 163 cc engine with 8.1 kW of power and a top speed of nearly 120 km in hour for those days when you&#8217;re late for work on the ring road. It has a front disc brake and rear drum brake, with 12-inch alloy wheels. The front suspension features hydraulic forks and the rear includes adjustable dampers.</p>
<p>The Like 200i comes with electric and kick start feature, a standard top box in tint with the scooter, a digital clock and halogen headlamp. On the European market it costs about 2,100 euros, which is very reasonable for a city scooter ride.</p>

<p>Like is the new scooter from Kymco, both elegant and retro at the same time. It&#8217;s been designed as a traditional city scooter and was created by Italian designer Massimo Zaniboni after some research into scooters of the 50&#8217;s and 60&#8217;s.</p>
<p>It shows both Asian and European style elements, having fresh and clean lines. The seat is larger than on some scooters, and can comfortable take on two people with anti-slip material. The Like scooter is available in 50 and 125 cc versions.</p>
<p>It has a four-stroke engine with two air cooled valves for economic and quick riding. The 50 cc model will also soon be available in a two-stroke version, air cooled, which will highlight its agility and light weight.</p>

The 50 4T is a modern and efficient motor, Euro 2 compliant and producing 2.2 kW (3 hp) at 7,000 rpm with a torque of 3.2 Nm at 6,500 rpm. It has reduced fuel consumption and emissions and is an ideal solution in city traffic.</p>
<p>The 125 cc 4T is a classic Kymco model which has 7.0 kW (9.5 hp) at 8,000 rpm and torque of 9.5 Nm (6,500 rpm). It is both suitable for city and surburban travel, and its low emissions make for Euro 3 compliance.</p>

<p>Kymco Like has a steel tubular frame, with traditional hydraulic telescopic fork of 31mm. The rear suspension is an oscillating singe shock absorber and the alloy wheels measure 12 inches. The brakes are powerful with a front 220mm disc brake with floating calipers. The rear is also equipped with a disc brake measuring 110 m. The Like 50 is instead equipped with a rear drum brake at 110mm, in line with the design and purpose of this scooter.</p>
<p>Other features include a clear instrument display, halogen lights and large under-seat storage that can house a full-face helmet. The rear has a 12 V socket for electrical accessories, or to recharge a mobile phone. A Kymco special storage box is also available, which utilises the same key as that of the ignition.</p>

<p>The Kymco Xciting range seems to be on a winner and has developed the models into an &#8216;R&#8217; version to indicate the added sports style and performance. Previously appreciated for its quality-price ratio, it takes an extra step in 2009 with this new model.</p>
<p>The Xciting R design is sleek and clean, and now has a totally new front, giving that essential sports touch. LED technology is being used, and the tail has a new look with new handle and ergonomic features. Black is definitely back and is more agressive.</p>
<p>The two different engine options satisfy different users. The 500cc has electronic ignition, is liquid cooled and has four valves with twin cam in the style of sports motorcycles. It has a maximum power of 28.2 kW (38.4 hp) at 7,000 rpm and torque of 41.1 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The weight is 221 kg and it has a top speed of 147 km/hr.</p>

The 300 cc version has a liquid cooled motor and 17.5 kW (28.3 hp) at 8,000 rpm with torque of 23.5 Nm at 6,250 rpm. The performance is brilliant here, with a weight of only 189 kg and reduced fuel consumption. The 12.8 litre tank gives an impressive range.</p>
<p>Added features are the 15-inch front wheels and 14-inch rear wheels with sizeable tubeless tyres (120/70 at the front and 150/70. The brake discs measure 260 mm at the front with floating calipers and two parallel pistons, and 240 mm at the rear. The brakes are controlled by two separate systems.</p>
<p>The Xciting 300 R is on sale for 4,499 euros and the 500 R for 5,399 euros. Colours available are black, orange, blue and white.</p>

<p>The 2009 Kymco Xciting confirms that this model has evolved such to confirm it has maintained its relevance over time, updated to keep up with developments. The new Xciting will be available in the classic 300 and 500 cc, in the &#8220;R&#8221; version.</p>
<p>The look has been overhauled with a new front that&#8217;s agressive and futuristic, with a double headlight. The rear is characterised by an LED light and new racing style paint work.</p>
<p>The front headlights are also LED, with reduced consumption and longer durability, while the indicators have been tucked in to the scooter, to maintain its smooth lines. The touches to the rear of the Kymco Xciting include a sporty rear handle in a style that gives the scooter more grunt. <p>The Kymco Agility is being updated for 2009 with a new sports version called Agility RS. It will be available in two versions of 125cc and 50cc. The sports ideal behind this scooter can be seen in the completely new look, with sports instrumentation, and bag carrier in silver colour. The engine will be a single cylinder four stroke.</p>
<p>It seems that the commercial roll-out plan is still in a phase of development, as there is no decision yet as to whether this will be released in Europe. An eventual introduction to the Italian market, for instance, is still to be evaluated.</p>

<p>The Kymco Like 125/50 is a new retro style scooter from Italian designer Massimo Zaniboni. The classic scooter has clean and modern lines, is compact but with some fine details and finishing.</p>
<p>&#8216;Like&#8217; comes from a detailed study on 50&#8217;s and 60&#8217;s style scooters, and the new Kymco model is comfortable and versatile. It has two 12-inch wheels, making it perfect for city traffic and weekend day trips. It is available in both 125cc and 50cc versions, both with a powerful four-stroke, two-valve, air cooled engine. A two-stroke 50cc version will also be available. The braking system includes twin discs and top-of-the-range features such as halogen lights and complete instrument panel.</p>
<p>The rear storage is Kymco series and integrated with the overall look of the scooter. &#8216;Like&#8217; will be on sale from summer 2009 though no details on the pricing are available. It should prove to be a competitive figure though, similar to the general pricing of the Kymco line.</p>

<p>The Downtown 300i is the new sport-tourer scooter from Kymco, with plenty of top-of-the-range options and great versatility.</p>
<p>The modern style is the work of Italian designer Massimo Zaniboni and shows both the comfort and dynamism that this scooter looks to offer. The robust chassis has generous wheels (14-inch at the front and 13-inch at the rear), which guarantee maximum security and stability. The 300i is equipped with a new tyre pressure monitoring system called TPM.</p>

The double front led headlight is new, and the larger underseat storage can easily hold two helmets. Riding position has been designed for maximum comfort and numerous pockets and storage options are available, including a 12V power outlet for cell phone recharge.</p>
<p>The instrument panel is elegant, including both digital and analogue elements, together with the tyre pressure control signal, maintenance signal and storage signal. The scooter is equipped with a four-stroke, four valve engine, and its 300cc capacity gives it the grunt needed for a sport-tourer.</p>
<p>The new transmission and ignition systems make this a pleasingly technological scooter and highly fuel efficient. Commercialisation is predicted for spring 2009, pricing is not yet available. A 125cc version should follow, with electronic ignition.</p>

<p>Kymco is offering a new version of its Xciting scooter, with updated power at 300i, and available in the R 300i versions with new colours and sports transmission and suspension.</p>
<p>The more agressive Xciting 300i is at ease in traffic and on ring roads, and can even attempt longer trips away from home. It&#8217;s a modern scooter, both elegant and sporty, with the 300i and R 300i different mostly in the colouring.</p>
<p>The instrument panel is wide and well-equipped, while the scooter has more storage than you&#8217;ll ever need, including the underseat space holding 10kg, and having a light and 12V recharge socket.</p>

<p>The tyres are 120/70 on a 3.5&#215;15 range for the front, and 150/70 and 4.5&#215;14 for the rear. The engine is a single-cylinder, four-stroke made for Euro 3 standards and with 270cc. The fuel injection system is from Keihin has been modified to accommodate the changes. The twin cam has two valves and the engine is liquid cooled.</p>

<p>The model is a lot sexier than we&#8217;re used to seeing and we&#8217;re not talking about the scooter! But if we were we would discuss Kymco&#8217;s new People S, updated with new 300i power. People S 300i is, in fact, aimed at a public who uses their scooter both in everyday city traffic and for weekend touring.</p>

<p>The instrument panel has been revised and now includes three circular elements, including a multi-functional display of odometer and time. The scooter also includes a cell phone recharger socket.</p>
<p>Underseat storage can hold a jet helmet, and has two hooks and the 12 volt socket. The petrol cap has also been moved to a more comfortable position on the back of the of the windshield.</p>
<p>The People S 300i has a reinforced tubular steel chassis which guarantees great safety standards. The telescopic fork is hydraulic at 37mm, and is combined with a single swing arm and twin shock absorbers giving some great riding feel and road grip.</p>
<p>The brake system includes twin 260 mm discs on the front, and on the rear a single 260mm disc, with levers working on only one wheel, creating a braking style that reflects &#8220;real&#8221; motorcycles compared to many of the modern scooters on the market.</p>
<p>The 16-inch alloy wheels are in the new grey colour, and have generous tyres for the flexibility of this scooter both for touring and city riding.</p>

<p>The People S 300i is equipped with a four-stroke horizontal engine, producing Euro 3 performance. The twin cam has a higher rating and power is brought up to about 270cc. The Keihin fuel injection system has been renewed to create a smooth and substantial fuel flow, while ECU electronic control improves performance and reduces fuel waste.</p>
<p>The engine is liquid cooled and together with the transmission has a power of 17.9kW (24.4 hp) at 7,500 revs and a torque of 24.7Nm at 6,500 revs.</p>
<p>The People S 300i sells for around 3,695 euros across the dealership network. Colours available are dark blue, metal, blue and black and the scooter can be purchased with extra accessories.</p>
