Vespa has recently released another version from its LX scooter range, the Vespa LX Touring. It’s another indication of how popular this range of Vespa scooters has become, with more comfort and modern technology, but a dose of Vespa elegance and style. The “touring” name indicates scooters adapted to more adventurous mini suburban trips, although city riding still remains the core of these Vespa LX models.
The new Vespa LX Touring are available in 125 and 150 cc models with electronic fuel injection. The 125 cc version is availabe with a four-stroke, single cylinder motor with 10.7 hp and reduced CO2 emissions. The Touring 150 model has 12.1 hp, and can cope with highway riding, making it more suitable for extra-urban weekend missions.
They are both available in ‘Marrone Terra di Toscana’ colour, or Tuscan Earth Brown, and the chrome luggage accessories are part of the standard offer. The front of the LX Touring model is designed for aerodynamic wind protection and the scooter also features a side trestle stand as well as a central one. The LX Touring 125 will cost about 3,550 euros and the 150 cc model has a price of about 3,750 euros.
The 2010 Vespa GTS 300 Super and GTS Supersport models have been presented at the Rome Motodays event. The new GTS Super is available in both 300cc and 125cc engine options, with electronic ignition. The GTS SuperSport comes with the 300cc engine option and includes sports style features. The famous Vespa steel frame shows off a new-look feature on the right-hand side with a horizontal grill that harks back to the Vespas of old.
A racing touch is also included with the front shock absorber painted red, making the GTS 300 Super recognisable. The sports style is continued in the aggressive front look, with a chrome grill and twin-tone alloy wheels. The original “SuperSport” logo is included on the Vespa, near the storage space and the classic Vespa logo appears at the front. The Vespa GTS SuperSport has a black seat with new sports look and new manufacturing technique which makes it more comfortable.
The Vespa GTS 300 Super and SuperSport models have four-stroke, four-valve, 278 cc engines with a maximum torque of 22.3 Nm at 5,000 rpm. They have 22 hp, making for a fast and powerful scooter equipped with disc brakes at front and rear and a 9.2-litre tank. See the elegant Vespa in the gallery below.

With four days of pre-season testing at Sepang already over, MotoGP will be heading to Qatar on March 18-19 for the final two days of tests, before the new season kicks off at Losail for the night race that takes place on the weekend of April 11th .
Here’s what the riders had to say about today’s final day of testing in Sepang.
Valentino Rossi - 1st : 2′00.271 Laps: 39
“I’m really happy to have beaten my pole record, it’s a good feeling to be this fast in testing. I did this with an old tyre but we also got the chance to try a very good new tyre from Bridgestone today, which I hope we will use from the first race. Our bike is in great shape; we need to do a bit more work on the electronics but in general everything is better, especially the rear grip and the engine. Yamaha have been very clever to develop this new bike whilst keeping the best parts of the old one, I’m very happy about it. It was good to get the chance to try the Japanese test bike, hopefully the feedback I gave them will help us in the future. Now we go to Qatar and then we will see our level because it is not one of mine or Yamaha’s best tracks! But we’re in great shape and this is very important at this stage of the season. I’m really looking forward to it.”
The new Vespa LXV 125 has electronic fuel injection for 2010, bringing the small vintage scooter up to date with better fuel consumption and performance. The Vespa LXV 125 already complies with Euro 3 emissions standards but new fuel injection technology makes for greater power and torque at lower engine speeds.
The LXV 125 now has 7.9 kW (10.7 hp) at 8,250 rpm and 9.6 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. While keeping its vintage look, the new Vespa LXV 125 has abandoned the carburettor in favour of a zippy, modern scooter for urban riding. Better fuel consumption and lower emissions round off the benefits, making this a more environmentally friendly scooter.
The Vespa LXV 125 was built at Piaggio headquarters in Pontedera, where the 1960’s style has been preserved to maintain classic Vespa design. The fuel injection LXV 125 is already available on the market in the colour of Portofino Green. See all the technical specs after the jump.

This humorous commercial incorporates the idea that everyone can love a Vespa scooter, even the stereotype of the hard riding, beer drinking Harley Davidson rider that can leave his main squeeze and appreciate the classical and timeless beauty of a Vespa ET4.
