From SoloMoto30 in Spain, it’s the BMW F 800 R this time that features in some renderings. The twin cylinder naked derives from the F 800 S/ST and should end the long wait from BMW fans.

In recent years new models based on the F 800, such as the GS and the F 650 GS have emerged, but this will be the first version that’s closer to the more traditional R 1200 R road model, or the K 1200 R (now the K 1300 R).

The new F 800 R could be similar to stuntman Christian Pfeiffer’s model, with perhaps a rear swing arm. Two versions could also emerge, with an economic 70hp version with similarities to the F 650 GS, or a “full-power” 90hp developed from the F 800. Next appointment with this bike is next week’s Eicma show in Milan.
