Norino Brignola gets WSBK ride with Grillini Progea team for Aragon round

norino brignola After parting ways with Mark Aitchison, Grillini Progea WSBK team has yet to find a permanent rider for their BMW S1000RR.

After fielding Jake Holden, who competed at Miller Motorsports Park, and Federico Sandi who rode at Misano, in the upcoming World Superbike round at Motorland Aragon, the Italian team has decided to field CIV Superstock rider Norino Brignola.

For Brignola it will be a return to the WSBK paddock where he made fourteen starts in Superbikes during 2005 and 2007 on Ducati’s and sixteen in Supersport between 1998 and 2002, mostly riding Bimota’s and Yamaha’s and the Italian is a former CIV Superbike champion.

Many of you may not remember Brignola, but you’ll certainly recall what happened at Monza in 2006 with Ruben Xaus. Check out the video after the jump.
