Honda’s best selling CB600F Hornet will have some updates for 2009, with some more agressive touches, improved suspension and dynamic colours.
The Hornet has always differentiated itself for its sport style and its efficiency: for next year these characteristics will be reinforced thanks to new front and rear suspension, with the rear featuring a new single shock absorber with seven different fully adjustable settings, 128mm of travel and track control.
The HMAS upside-down fork measures 41mm, and is now available in silver, giving added elasticity to the feel of the bike. Extension enables 120mm of travel and excellent comfort in gear changing.
The engine is the award winning four-cylinder 600cc, derived from the Supersport CBR600RR, capable of 75kw at 12,000 rpm. Torque measures around 63.5Nm at 10,500 rpm. The chassis is a single beam alluminium, light and strong, giving the bike a dry weight of 173kg.
The braking has a three-way disc with large dimensions and true sports performance. ABS is available as an optional, controlling braking on both wheels giving greating riding stability and brake response.
Two new colours are available in Pearl Cool White and Quasar Silver Metallic, together with black chassis and fork, giving the Honda a streetfighter look. A large range of accessories is also available.
