Still another video taken from the Matrix show. The highlights from one of best races of the 2008 season and the closest racing we’ve seen in a long time, the US Red Bull Grand Prix.

The press dubbed it a race classic but I prefer to call it the clash of the titans. Casey Stoner headed to Laguna Seca with three back to back wins and after free practices and qualifying there wasn’t a bookie in the entire world that didn’t think that Casey Stoner could lose this one. The journalists were already writing their race reports waiting to fill in the blank spaces with the times and even the other riders knew they would be only going for points. But the Gods of Motorcycle Racing had another idea. Being a bit bored with MotoGP racing, they looked down on one of their favourite sons and with a little help from the semi-god of crew chiefs Jeremy Burgess, decided to give Rossi a better bike than he had all weekend. They also gave him an even bigger pair of cahunas and then sprinkled him with lucky dust and the race was on.

I won’t say sit back and enjoy, because with these highlights you’ll be back sitting on the edge of your chairs biting your nails.
