As motorcyclists we probably think even more about what’s around us when coming into an intersection than drivers, and Forbes has compiled a list of America’s worst intersections.
The data comes from traffic company Inrix, which gathers information from GPS units to develop traffic avoidance functions in these units. As is probably expected, in the top ten worst intersections list, New York takes out six positions, with Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles featuring as well.
Los Angeles over all occupies 33 spots in 100, and New York comes in at 29. While this is all about improving GPS technology (Ford, Garmin and TomTom all use Inrix intelligence), there’s nothing like local knowledge to avoid traffic on your motorcycle. Our advice? Take the long way home. For the full list, check out Forbes worst intersections in the US.
