Back in October, CNN ran an interesting story about Marine motorcycle deaths having killed more Marines in the past 12 months than enemy fire in Iraq and that the Navy was also reporting similar rises in motorcycle accidents by miltary personnel.
So now it looks like Nicky Hayden has decided to take this issue to heart and will be helping the American Motorcycle Industry Council promote safe riding within the U.S. armed forces.
The 2006 MotoGP title winner and new Ducati Marlboro rider participated in a photo shoot to promote the safety campaign towards the end of February, at the Los Alamitos air base in Southern California.
The pictures and video from the photo shoot will be used in all US armed forces bases in the USA and across the globe.
