After the new Piaggio Liberty 50, 125 and 150 range, Piaggio is also releasing its Carnaby 300 ie 2009 model. This scooter is top-of-the-range for style and quality, in a large wheel model that is safe, sporty and powerful.

The Piaggio Carnaby 300 ie style includes a chrome plated central headlight and instruments, flat platform base, rear storage compartments, and sporty and motorcycle-derived look. Fold-away passenger foot rests are included, with an ergonomic seat and painted luggage rack.

The engine is a 300 cc fuel injected Quasar motor, liquid cooled and with a four valve cylinder unit. Compared to the 250 version, the 300 cc has greater torque at 23 Nm at a lower rev speed of 6,000 rpm. The strong point here is the acceleration and agility around town, and a range of 330 km on a full tank.

The chassis is a high strength steel tube frame with 35mm fork and rear double action shock absorbers. The wheels measure 16 inches and the tyres are 110/70 at the front and 130/70 at the rear. The Carnaby 300 ie is comfortable with 165 kg dry weight, and a braking system of two 260 mm discs with two-piston floating calipers.

Accessories available include scooter cover, electronic alarm, top box, windscreen and leg cover. The colour range has three metallic colour finishes of Andromeda Light Blue, Cosmos Black and Orion Grey, in addition to the exclusive Moon White.
