MV Augusta ‘s Enrico D’Onofrio is being investigated for industrial espionage, unlawful competition and theft in regards to his previous job in Ducati.
MV Augusta was bought less than a year ago by Harley Davidson and appointed D’Onofrio managing director of MV Augusta on May 1st of this year. Before that, D’Onofrio held a senior management position with Ducati as Chief Financial Officer and in Proctor & Gamble’s European operations.
On Monday the Guardia di Finanza searched D’Onofrio’s office and his home in Varese, Italy. According to D’Onofrio’s lawyer, Alessandro Diddi: the Finanza seized a computer where they believe that certain files are contained.” Diddi also stated that “his client had not taken any proprietary information, and the only documents he took with him when he left Ducati were available in the public domain”. Didde also added that “there is nothing that D’Onofrio has used these data to the benefit of the new employer.”
There has been no comment from Ducati.

14 Apr 2011 - 09:11 - #6Depending on the sub-speciality(ies) involved, industrial engineering may also be known as operations management, management science, operations research, systems engineering, or manufacturing engineering, usually depending on the viewpoint or motives of the user. Recruiters or educational establishments use the names to differentiate themselves from others. In health care, industrial engineers are more commonly known as health management engineers or health systems engineers.

27 Apr 2011 - 09:24 - #7In 1982, the Toyota Motor Company and Toyota Motor Sales merged into one company, the Toyota Motor Corporation. Two years later, Toyota entered into a joint venture with General Motors called NUMMI, the New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc, operating an automobile-manufacturing plant in Fremont, California. The factory was an old General Motors plant that had been closed for two years. Toyota then started to establish new brands at the end of the 1980s, with the launch of their luxury division Lexus in 1989.

Toyota also began production of the world’s best-selling hybrid car, the Prius, in 1997.
