The Spanish press last year dubbed Simoncelli “The Barbarian” after his contact on the straight at Mugello with Hector Barbera, and this year after what happened with Alvaro Bautista, they called Italian, childish, a boor and the King of Unsportmanship, so I couldn’t wait to see what this episode of the Bautista cartoon series could come up with and I wasn’t disappointed.

Very ironic seeing Simoncelli pay his $5000 fine that he got from the Mugello race direction to Carmelo Ezpeleta, Dorna’s CEO and seeing how many times that they calculated his aggressive riding compared to Bautista, who is no slouch when it comes to aggressive behaviour on a race track
