Moto Guzzi is releasing black versions of its range, calling them ‘Aquila Nera’ or Black Eagle. In the style of the Ducati Dark and Triumph Matt Black series, the Moto Guzzi range uses opaque black colouring on its Bellagio, Nevada and California models for 2010.
The California model has some nice touches, taking on aspects of the Vintage and presenting them in a new, sober style. The touring bike elements such as XL seat and windshield, and saddle bags all disappear, though the chrome handle bars and characteristic round rear light remain.
The Bellagio already had a black colour option from the moment it was released, and it joins the Nevada Aquila Nera with new exhaust and instrumentation, along with distinctive chrome features for the 2010 model year.
The Aquila Nera Bellagio and Nevada cost the same as the standard versions of these models, at 7,860 euros and 10,760 euros respectively. The Aquila Nera California represents a great saving on adopting some top-of-the-range qualities, when compared to the Moto Guzzi Vintage. The California costs 13,750 euros, which is a saving of about 3,000 euros.
