Axel Pons undergoes Surgery

Axel Pons, son of two times 250cc World Champion Sito Pons, now team owner underwent surgery yesterday morning at Barcellona’s USP Institut Universitari Dexeus clinic to remove two pins that were inserted in both tibias last year.

The 18 year old Pons who will be in Moto2 with his father’s Pons Kalex team underwent surgery three times in 2008 to treat the multiple injuries following this horrific crash (see video) in a CEV race in Jerez in June 2008.
