Made in Italy Cup Italian superbike trophy

There could soon be an Italian superbike cup, reserved exclusively for Italian brands, called the Made in Italy Cup 2010. Organisers will release more information soon, but the idea is a rather patriotic one, described thus:

“If you go to the National Gallery in London, and you go up the main stairs, stopping halfway, looking up at the height of the restaurant, you’ll read the names of ten artists carved into the marble. Nine of these are Italians… In the same way, if you look at the rankings in world Superbike, four out of the first six teams or bikes, are Italian. The motard speaks Italian and today, it does so even more.”

Rules, prizes and how to register will soon be published, with two categories of “AMA” and “PRO” available. Stay tuned for more information.
