0 Comments from ReadersYesterday’s Moto2 race at Jerez was red flagged after just two laps when Shoya Tomizawa crashed out after battling it out Simone Corsi fighting for the lead. The rider pile-up was caused by Tomizawa’s bike having an unprotected crank case which caused oil to spill across the Dry Sack corner.
“I crashed after the back straight and my oil was on the road, and many riders crashed,” said Tomizawa. “I’m so sorry for the delay, and also because many riders crashed and they had to repair their motorbikes. I’m so sorry.”
Franco Uncini, Dorna’s safey delegate talking to Italia 1 after the incident declared that the Safety Commission will probably probabily render crank case carbon fiber covers mandatory.
