The new 2010 Piaggio Beverly is now available for some summer scootering fun, with a new look for 2010 and additional comfort and technology. The Piaggio Beverly is known as an agile, reliable city scooter with enough power and comfort for some short to mid-range touring. The 2010 Beverly has a new design with dual reflector headlights, LED daytime lights and chrome features at the front. The design has been modernised with a slimmer tail and sportier look and the rear also has LED lights.
The modern look is combined with some traditional elements characteristic to the classy style of the Beverly. It has twin-tone colours, aluminium inserts and a metal look finish, combined with little touches such as a motorcycle-derived tank cap. The riding position has been modified to further improve comfort with different ride heights for both rider and passenger and a remodelled saddle.
In terms of technology, the 2010 Beverly has a double cradle frame in high strength steel with 35mm stanchions for the fork and helical-spring shock absorbers. It’s a high-wheel model with 20-spoke light alloy rims measuring 16 inches at the front and 14 at the rear. The wheels are 110/70 and 140/70 (front and rear) and the revised braking system includes a 300 mm semi-floating disc with a double-piston calliper. The rear features a 240 mm disc brake.
The Piaggio Beverly comes in 125 and 300 cc engine capacity, both with electronic injection systems. The four-stroke, four-valve 300 cc model has 22.2 hp and 23 Nm of torque. The 125 cc model has 15 hp and 12 Nm, and represents a more fuel efficient and environmentally friendly model. It has a new ECS (electronic cooling system) water cooling system that consumes less energy.
The 2010 Piaggio Beverly 125 and Beverly 300 are available in the colour schemes of Perseus Bronze, Pearl White, Midnight Blue, Cosmo Black and Antares Red. Accessories available include a top box in 36 or 48 litres, top fairing, wind shield, leg cover, scooter cover and electronic antitheft system.
