Last April we reported that Eskil Suter who prepares the MMX chassis for numerous Moto2 teams was already preparing a Moto 1 bike under the new 2012 MotoGP rules, with a production motor in a prototype frame using BMW’s S1000 RR engine.
According to the latest news, it seems that the Swiss engineer is now ready take the bike out for a shakedown test that should take place in July with Carmelo Morales doing the first test and with a second test scheduled after the Brno GP, during the post race tests with Roberto Rolfo, who currently rides in Moto2 with the Italtrans S.T.R team and who did most of the development work on the Moto2 chassis.
If the Suter/BMW machine does take part in the Monday test, it will be interesting to see how the bike will stack up against the 800cc counterparts.
