Ned Kelly gets a bike: the Shinya Kimura Edge
Here is a look at the Shinya Kimura Edge bike developed off the back of a Ducati 999R. Basically the idea has been to create a longer-looking bike with handmade bodywork and to add “a level of organic whimsy”. I can safely say it looks like the ride of a polished-up, modern-era Ned Kelly. For those of you who don’t know who he is, one commenter on HFL is calling it Tin Man’s choice for the Yellow Brick Road. After the jump is a documentary video on Shinya Kimura where we get a better idea of the philosophy behind his custom bikes.
