Warm-up practice at Brno took place on a wet track that conditioned the performances of many riders who preferred to be extra cautious, but not Andrea Dovizioso who posted the best time before it started pouring in the final minutes of the session.
The Italian rider, who won last year in a wet Donington, best lap was 2′10″135 that put him 1.682s ahead of his team mate Dani Pedrosa who will be taking off in pole position this afternoon’s race. Casey Stoner did a couple of fast laps that put him in third before sitting out the rest of the session.
Valentino Rossi finished the session in 16th deciding to play it safe. Back on track after their crashes yesterday were Nicky Hayden in 7th nursing a chipped radius bone in his left wrist and a very bruised Alvaro Bautista in last place.
