At Motegi the FIM had issued a provisional entry list for the 2011 Moto2 championship, with 15 teams and 29 riders, today at Estoril, the Grand Prix Commission issued the final entry list that now adds another 7 teams and the riders will once again be 40.

Despite rumors of funding problems, the full-time 2011 grid is the same number that everyone complained about this season, deeming that these many riders on a starting grid were too dangerous, but evidently the Commission came under pressure by the teams left out of the provisional entry list and decided to accept them all.

The accepted teams now have until November 5th to confirm their riders and until November 12th to lodge a security deposit with IRTA. Should any of the accepted teams propose riders not acceptable to the Committee, or if the security deposit is not paid, then consideration will be given to other teams.
