Usually it’s Yamaha USA who comes up with the most original season greetings, but this year the prize goes to Althea Racing’s Carlo Checa, excuse me, Charles Checaspeare.
Checa has outdone himself and written this Christmas Sonnet to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, and when he decides to retire from racing, he could apply to Hallmark’s for a job.
“Once again it’s the Christmas season,
once again I’m thinking about cards
to wish you the earned happiness reason
without making it sound too hard.
It’s a real bore doing the same
that is why I work hard again.
But this time to Cervantes I won’t refer,
my hands without donkey smell I prefer …
Then with this digital sonnet
I wish you 2011 full of smiles
either if you live in the Middle Ages
or in today’s hectic times.
