Pirelli Diablo 150th Monza

We know that it’s a gimmick and that after scrubbing in the tire you’ll probably barely see it during today’s Superpole session at Monza, but Pirelli has decided to bring its own special flag waving version to celebrate and honour Italy’s 150th anniversary of unification.

During the Monza Superpole, you’ll be able to identify when each rider is using one of the two new 2011 Diablo qualifying tires they have available to them, because they’ll be featuring three stripes coloured green, white and red along with personalized sidewall labels with the words “150th Italy” as symbols of Italian unity, instead of the usual yellow striped ones.

Personalized sidewall labels are already an optional feature for Pirelli’s Rosso Generation buyers.
