That MotoGP riders love to watch WSBK action is a known fact and Marco Simoncelli turned up in the Castrol Honda garage at Monza and tried on Ruben Xaus’ Honda for size and talking to Carlo Fiorani Racing Operations Manager for Honda Motor Europe and Carlo Florenzano, manager for Honda Italy.
Simoncelli took part in the 2009 Imola round of World Superbikes with an Aprilia RSV4 and scored a DNF in race 1 and and a 3rd place podium in race 2 and put some hard moves on both future World Champions Max Biaggi and Ben Spies (check out the video after the jump to see him in action).
After his slight problem with Jorge Lorenzo during the post qualifying interview at Estoril, we bet that Simoncelli would definitely prefer racing and exchanging paint Superbike style, than the wusses in MotoGP that complain about him being an aggressive and dangerous rider.
