After breaking his collarbone at Le Mans yesterday with just a little help by Marco Simoncelli, Dani Pedrosa has still to decide if he wants to undergo surgery and have the collarbone plated or let it heal naturally.

No doubt that Pedrosa will be thinking hard on whether he’ll want to get his collarbone plated, especially after his latest surgery (April 6th), where he had to remove a plate and screws from his other shoulder in order to decompress the subclavian artery that numbed his arm and hindered his first two races of the season.

According to a today’s press release from HRC, it was reported that the Spaniard returned to Barcelona and saw his doctors at the Teknon Medical Centre who confirmed the clean break of the right collarbone and that he spent the night immobilised with a compressive dressing, but more worrying is that the press release also states that it is uncertain whether Pedrosa will be at Catalunya GP on June 5th.

Pedrosa may be small and quiet spoken and seemingly fragile, but he’s actually tough as nails and you can bet that he’ll be back on track in three weeks time, for better or for worse, trying do his best.
