Alstare Suzuki’s problems in trying to continue fielding his team next season, seem to be finally turning around. Last weekend Francis Batta issued a statement regard his current situation with Suzuki and ahead of this morning’s Qp2 session at Magny Cours, the Belgium manager is now reporting that he may have the option of not only keeping his Superbike team, but also field a one rider team in World Supersports.

Press release:

The discussions between Alstare and Suzuki are ongoing and currently Alstare are talking to sponsors with regard to a suitable budget for 2012. Many of Alstare’s traditional sponsors have already expressed their desire to remain with the team next year, even though the final set-up is yet to be agreed.

At the moment, the talks are also exploring the possibility of running one bike in both Superbike and Supersport classes, but this will of course depend on the final budget. The rider line-up will be determined once everything is in place.
