Maybe I’ve been living in Italy to long and used to seeing more streamlined scooters, like Vespa, Lambretta, and Honda’s whipping in and out of traffic and the new electric scooters that are trying to make their mark to appreciate the design pecularity of this new E-scooter from Boxx Corp.
For those of you who find it utterly fascinating and would love to stand out from everyone else, prices start at $3,995 but can reach over five grand with all the available option upgrades and it comes in ten different colours.
Measuring just a meter long, it can hit a top speed between 28 to 35 miles per hour, while autonomy is 20 miles before recharging that takes four hours, but an optional battery can double the range, while an optional recharger cuts recharging down to just one hour.

10 Dec 2011 - 01:00 - #1The Boxx scooter actually has lots of cool stuff going on that isn’t even mentioned in the story that broke this bike. (http://www.green.autoblog.com/2011/12/07/boxx-scooter-makes-it-hip-to-be-square/)
LED lights, lane markers, steering system, etc. The AWD system is also unique in how it functions and is supposed to have a good effect on the handling.

04 Jan 2012 - 19:37 - #2The designer of the BOXX scooter is my neighbor, and I’ve ridden the prototype, and I was amazed at how well it handles and how much fun it is to ride! - don’t be fooled by the apparent ‘clunkiness’ of the design, this thing rides great and handles incredibly well, and looks and feels far more substantial in person - the unveiling at the PDX auto show should be quite amazing
