The Vyrus 987 C3 4V is equipped with the Ducati 1198 engine and is a real missile on wheels. It has a top speed of 310 km/hr with 184 hp and weighs just 155 kg. This is another stunning example of Italian motorcycle design, created by Ascanio Rodrigo who is using with hub-centre steering. This system that encloses the steering element in the front wheel and separates it from braking and suspension functions.
Together with the chassis, the hub-centre steering creates an easy ride, but don’t let the Vyrus workshop fool you into thinking this is an easygoing bike. In addition to the horse power, the Ducati engine has 13.5 Kgm of torque (approximately 130 Nm) at just 7,500 rpm. A 211-hp version may also turn up, making this the world’s most powerful street-legal bike. Check it out in the gallery - the live pics are from the Motor Bike Expo, courtesy of the guys at Motoblog.it.

Here are all the biker babes from the recent Motor Bike Expo held in Verona, Italy. I’m going to come right out and say that they’re more attractive than the kama sutra girl from SC Project. Although the lass with the white wig and sunglasses could be Lady Gaga… on a motorcycle? Yes, well we’ve all seen that already, haven’t we? Enjoy the gallery!
Dubbed as “Kama Sutra on a motorcycle” by the guys at Motoblog.it, SC Project have taken bike show girls to the next level with a very flexible lady decorating a Ducati. It’s all a bit surreal I have to say and frankly, she sort of ruins the bike for me.
After the Bimota HB4 seen at the Motor Bike Expo, here is the other Bimota that was on show, the new
Bimota DB8, which is also a very sexy bike. In contrast to the return to Honda engines for Bimota with the HB4, the DB8 has a Ducati engine - no less than the 1198 Testastretta, in fact, which produces 170 hp off the back of a bike weighing 171 kg.
There is space for a passenger, but as the guys at Motoblog.it remind us, it’s not an armchair. The aluminium frame has been studied to accommodate the passenger space, and be both light and strong. The suspension has also been developed for use by two people, and with 131 Nm of torque, this makes it a fast bike to be riding duo.
The Bimota DB8 should cost about 23,000 euros, making it less entry-level than suspected, but it looks like a great bike and certainly isn’t lacking in speed and technology. A new version of the DB7 naked bike should still be developed, adding to a small range that Bimota fans should definitely appreciate. Technical specs after the jump.

Bimota will be debuting with FB Corse in the Moto2 series with this Bimota HB4. It should prove to be an exciting bike with a Honda engine (from the Honda CBR 600 RR), and a stunning Bimota trellis chassis of steel and cast magnesium. These shots show the Bimota HB4 live at the Motor Bike Expo in Verona (courtesy of Motoblog.it) where you can also see the rear Ohlins suspension, Paioli front fork and Brembo brakes.
Other features include an aeronautical system for the frame, adjustable steering head and forged magnesium wheels. The Bimota HB4 weighs 135 kg (dry) and has a 21-litre capacity fuel tank. Rumours say that if the bike is successful and generates enough interest, we could see a production version turn up.
On the racing front, Bimota won its first world championship back in 1980 with Jon Ekerold, and then in 1987 with Virginio Ferrari. And the Italians are hoping that this is an opportunity for Bimota to dust off the trophy cabinet a bit. Check out the Bimota HB4 Moto2 promo video here.
Ducati took the 1198 S Corse Special Edition, Multistrada 1200, and Hypermotard Evo to the Motor Bike Expo held in Verona, Italy, over the weekend. While the models had already been seen at EICMA 2009, they were on display again for the joy of the lucky Italian public. The 1198 S Corse Special Edition shows off a new livery, and is characterised by an aluminium racing tank, Ducati Corse logo, racing kit and Ducati’s traction control.
The full Ducati 2010 range was on show at the Motor Bike Expo, including Ducati accessories and clothing. Despite the lovely 1198S, all eyes are on the Multistrada 1200 to see how it pulls off its mix of sport with touring and off-road. Other bikes to check out were the Hypermotard 796, the Hypermotard 1100EVO and the brand new Hypermotard 1100Evo SP.

Verona is currently hosting the 2010 Motor Bike Expo, and an entire area of the fair will be dedicated to “Kustom Kulture”, managed by Low Ride magazine and the Custom Sickles site. Everything from tuning, to custom bikes, tattoos and paint jobs will be on display to celebrate the cultural movement which started in the US in the mid 50’s and names such as Von Dutch (Kenny Howard).
The Motor Bike Expo for 2010 largely involves the artistic side of motorcycling, after last year’s workshop theme where live bike assembling and building took place. You can find plenty to see from sculpture to pinstriping, painting, live art and famous personalities.
Among the artists present are: Custom Design, Danx Pinstriping, El Cheapo, El Rana, Empire32, Giampo Coppa, Massimo Gurnari, Massy Zeta, Rica VonSpades, Riccardo “Ricky” Brodini and The Arch Villani.
