Here’s a video of the 2010 scooter from Aprilia, the Sportcity Cube 300. It’s just as pumped up as the Aprilia Sportcity One video, though I don’t think the “urban performance” tag is an exaggeration. The Sportcity Cube, with its 300 cc engine and 22.5 hp, has been designed for powerful urban riding, as well as a scooter that could be employed for some weekend cruising, too. The new Aprilia scooter Sportcity Cube 300 for 2010 shows the sporty Aprilia scooter style, in a larger model with high quality finish. The 300 cc engine provides a powerful solution to city riding and for longer range trips as well.

The Sportcity Cube has been designed for robust, everyday riding with a large, comfortable seat for rider and passenger and underseat storage enough for a jet helmet with visor and other small objects. The 300 cc motor is still housed on a compact, high wheel model, for easy riding and handling. The seat is 815 mm high for greater comfort and on-board features include multi-function display and rev counter similar to maxi scooter models.

The various display controls are positioned on the handle bars for greater comfort and security. The chassis is characteristic of Aprilia sports style with a telehydraulic fork measuring 35 mm and a travel of 100 mm. The wheels are 15-inch with tubeless tyres of 120/70 at the front and 130/80 at the rear and the brakes include front 260 mm twin discs with floating callipers and parallel twin pistons, and a rear 220 mm disc brike with single piston.

The 2010 Aprilia Sportcity One, next up in our “scooter a day” mini-series, has a few updates for the new year that continue its sports style and tradition. Modifications include a new saddle finish, exhaust protection system and new panel graphics, although in essentials the Sportcity One is what is always has been.

More significant updates include new wheels and fork in gloss black finish for greater sports style and comfort. The Sportcity One is available in 50 and 125 cc, four-stroke versions, while the special Street model has a 50cc two-stroke motor. The 14-inch wheels are equipped with tubeless tyres and a front disc brake measuring 220 mm, with floating callipers and two pistons.

The Sportcity One 125 cc has nearly 11 hp and a top speed of just over 90 km/hr, while the 50 cc engine is highly economical with a range of more than 40 km on one litre of fuel. For a spicy engine and plenty of city traffic zip, the 50 cc 2T is agile and responsive, with an automatic transmission for easy handling. The Aprilia Sportcity One is available with various accessories including large windshield, New Concept 32-litre box, bag carrier and electronic alarm.

We saw the Max Biaggi Aprilia superbike replicas, and after the celebration of Biaggi’s first RSV4 victory, here’s the Aprilia SR 50 Max Biaggi scooter replica. The SR 50 is for those who can’t yet ride a big bike, or for those who want to get about the city on a scooter.

The Biaggi livery is set to give you that champion edge when burning off at the lights.
