Here is a new Arai replica helmet. The new Doohan TT Replica was worn by the Australian rider at the 2011 Tourist Trophy lap of honour, and Arai is now putting it into production, based on the RX-7 GP model. The model is Arai’s top-of-the-range helmet and the Doohan replica design has been created by Drudi Performance.
The design reflects Mick Doohan’s 500cc championship victories from 1994 to 1998 and also carries the TT logo and the island’s symbol. On the back of the helmet the course is drawn and the words “Mountain Course” written in gold lettering. After the Arai Parade Lap this year, 500 “Isle of Man TT” helmets a year will be produced by Arai, with some proceeds going to the competition organisers.
The Arai Doohan TT Replica helmet will be a limited edition and will have the price tag to match its exclusivity. It’s expected to retail in Europe for about €949.

Relax ladies, Nicky Hayden is still single but he’s decided to celebrate his sister’s recent wedding with this ‘Just Married’ design on his Arai helmet.
It might be sort of corny, but most chicks will fall for this very romantic thought and it might just be an idea for some motorcycle wedding.

When you think about a Japanese helmet manufacturer that has been in the same family for three generations, that’s some pretty impressive history to take in. This video takes us through the history and production of Arai helmets. Luckily for us, the Arai founder was a passionate motorcyclist himself and so the helmets are still made today with the driving principle behind them being whether it’s something you’d be happy wearing to protect your head.
When you see the Arai in-house helmet safety standard tests, you’ll see that they’re serious about what they say. They also have an Arai inspirational centre for training and workshopping. And really, how do you put a price on your brain anyway? Watch the video for more.
New Arai RX-7 replica helmets are available. Using the same Monster HJC R-PHA 10 Ben Spies replica helmet by Aldo Drudi, we get new Cal Crutchlow and Leon Haslam replicas. The Crutchlow helmet is based on the same RX-7 GP model the British has been wearing in this year’s MotoGP and last year’s Superbike season. The colours are typical of Monster Energy and include extra graphics by Aldo Drudi with flame lines and a glittery finish.
The Leon Haslam replica helmet is the same RX-7 GP model that the rider used when he came second in last year’s Superbike championship, and the same model that he’s using again this year. The design is also by Drudi and has a black gloss background and huge white “H” that adorns the front curvature of the helmet. Asymmetric floral graphics complete the design. Both replica helmets have a five-year guarantee and in sizing from XS to XXL, they costs about 949 euros each.

The Arai Chaser helmet range gets a couple of updates for 2011, including two new replica models: the Spencer Re-Style Black and Colin Legend White models. Both have been created by Aldo Drudi and are based on the Chaser-V Phil Read model. The external shell is made from fibreglass - light and durable - and they have the usual comfort characteristics of removable and washable cheek padding, pinlock visor and a polystyrene shell in different thicknesses.
The Chaser Spencer Re-Style Black is a homage to Freddie Spencer, as its name suggests, and it has black and grey graphics on a white background. The design is modern but is meant to reflect a historic replica. It comes in sizes from XS to XXL and costs about 513 euros in Europe. The Chaser Colin Legend White model also has new colours and will be available from early 2011.
Other updates in the range include the new Chaser-V model where “V stands for Ventilation, Visor and Visibility, intended to be the defining characteristics of this new helmet. It has larger front and rear ventilation points, also included at the neck and on the sides. The SAI visor is wider and can include Pinlock anti-fog points.
The interior lining and padding can be removed and can also be purchased in different thicknesses for better individual comfort. The points attaching the interior lining have been from the front of the helmet to the sides for a more comfortable wear and the external shell has been completely redesigned. It’s now made from Super Fibre Laminate construction for better durability. A large colour range is available and sizing comes in XS to XXL. A Phil Read replica is available, and the Chaser-V helmet costs about 629 euros. Go to the Arai site for more information.

Nicky Hayden will be wearing a very special one-off Arai helmet, designed by Starline during the Indianapolis MotoGP race this weekend that will be auctioned off after the race to raise money to support the Make a Wish Foundation, a charity that he has supported for the last five years.
So if you’re going to be at Indy this weekend why not stick around after the race and make an offer, because being able to help a child fulfill his or her dream is the most generous act around.
