The guys over at Eurocarblog passed on this video they found on AutoExpress and as always it’s car pitted against a motorcycle and features two of the finest BMW machines battling at Cadwell Park circuit, also known as the ‘Mini-Nurburgring’ with its fabulous and spectacular Mountain jump.
In the footage above, you will see the new BMW M5 F10, equipped with a 4.4-litre V8 unit delivering 560 hp and 680 Nm, fighting against their superbike the S1000RR, equipped with a 999cc in-line four engine that produces 193 hp and 112Nm of maximum torque.
Obviously, we are not going to tell you which vehicle won: you’ll have to check out the video to find that out.

Remember the Taio Cruz video Dynamite that featured all those hot babes and product placed BMW bikes? Well, a BMW S1000 RR donated by the German manufacturer and autographed by the same British pop singer was auctioned off during last weekend’s Formula One race at Monaco along with a VIP package for the 2011 FIM Superbike World Championship race weekend at Silverstone.
The BMW S 1000 RR and the VIP package were first bought by James Stunt, the fiancé of Petra Ecclestone. But he generously released them back to the auction and the final bidder was Dominic Brett who bidded 38.000 euros for the package. The money goes to support the Special Olympics, a sports organisation for people with intellectual and multiple disabilities.

While MotoGP riders are on a test ban for three months, the less rich World Superbike series has riders testing anytime they want to, like Leon Haslam, back from his honeymoon trip and getting sunburned in Borneo, who spent three days in a private test at the Cartagena circuit, ahead of the upcoming tests that the BMW Motorrad team will be carrying out at Eastern Creek and Phillip Island.
Haslam using the team’s test bike (his official ones are on their way to Australia) felt that this additional test was needed to improve his feeling and understanding of the electronics and throttle connection on the BMW S1000RR.
“We had three full days and I was on track until 6pm every night so I’ve done some laps! It was a bit strange being the only rider on track, but it worked well for us because we had so much to test,” Haslam told MCN.com.
After the famous table cloth trick, BMW has another viral ad pumping (as if they need it) the S 1000RR in the ultimate burnout.
We wonder if Aprilia USA will come up with another of their videos just to poke fun at BMW. Enjoy the video.

More product placement for BMW Motorrad, after the Black Eyed Peas “Imma Be Rocking That Body” video, we now have Taio Cruz and his video “Dynamite” and the S 10000 RR getting parked between a pair of BMW HP2 Sport bikes.
The video is also chock-full with hot, perspiring scantily clad babes that you’ll never find working in a scrap shop, so can enjoy the video even more.

Hope Dworaczyk has been chosen as Playboy’s 2010 Playmate of the Year, and to mark her win, the magazine presented her with a $100,000 check and the the keys to this BMW S 1000 RR.
You might like to know that this is the first time since that Playboy has ever given a motorcycle to a playmate, the PMOY winners have only received cars over the decades.
Why do I have the impression that everyone is now googling the name Hope Dworaczyk and not BMW’s Superbike?
Pata B&G Racing team owners Marco Borciani and Mirco Guandalini (the B&G letters correspond to their last names) are thinking of ditching the Ducati 1198’s that they currently use in the World Superbike championship for BMW’s S1000RR next season.
The team has already talked with BMW and Davide Tardozzi and it has been tentatively confirmed that Jakub Smrz will test ride the S1000RR at the Mugello on June 10th and 11th with Troy Corser.
Tardozzi recently said that the talented Czech was in his sights and what better way to judge the rider that see him perform on the German Superbike.
No table cloth tricks or race track for this American biker who put his BMW S 1000RR up to to 192mph and that’s an astonishing 308.9 km/h on the Long Island Expressway and he did it at night.
What can we say except Troy Corser on his BMW superbike did 323.6 km/h at the Monza circuit which is considered the temple of speed and is closed race track, so watch the video and by the way, do we really have to repeat that you don’t try this?

Will BMW and Aprilia be racing in MotoGP in 2012? That’s a question that’s been floating around since the FIM and Dorna announced the new MotoGP rules that will go into effect in 2012. with final ratification expected at the Japanese GP in Motegi on the weekend of April 24-25.
Eskil Suter who prepares the MMX (roman numerals for 2010) chassis for numerous Moto2 bikes and who saw three bikes using his chassis in first five spots at Qatar, is getting a head start and is preparing a Moto1 bike with a BMW S1000 RR engine (who already meets 81mm bore criteria) and that the new bike could actually be ready by the end of this year and if the paddock gossip is correct, Moto1 rules could be implemented before the 2012 season.
Aprilia is also thinking of joining MotoGP in 2012 and many think that the RSV4 Factory bike was purposely conceived as a step towards entering the MotoGP series and according to the latest news, Piaggio-Aprilia will be in talks with Dorna during several European rounds to sound out their partecipation in the 2012 championship.
This could be the reason why Max Biaggi is already in contract negotiations with Aprilia and is pushing for another two year contract that would make him eligible, despite the fact he’ll be 41 in 2012, to make a triumphant return to MotoGP and the series that decided he was persona non grata.

See the BMW S1000RR valves in action in this video and while you might think that nearly three and a half minutes of this is boring, it’s actually very mesmerising. It’s not every day we get to see the engine function of a bike with 193 hp. The S1000RR lightweight engine of just 59.8 kg is due to the use of superlight titanium, and it can rev to a maximum of 14,200 rpm, with maximum torque output of 112 Nm at 9,750 rpm.

We’ve seen a Buell 1125R on ice and we had Vittoriano Guareschi doing Holiday on Ice numbers with a Ducati Desmosedici GP7 (video after the jump) now we’ve got the latest superbike the BMW S 1000 RR that instead of hitting the asphalt of a race track, hits this frozen over lake.
Last Friday at the BMW Group Classic in Munich, Team BMW Motorrad Motorsport officially launched its second season in the FIM Superbike World Championship with Troy Corser and Ruben Xaus who are ready to begin the 2010 season that takes of at Phillip Island February 28th.
In the presence of Infront Motor Sports CEO Paolo Flammini, Superbike World Championship Director Paolo Ciabatti and other guests, Corser and Xaus arrived on stage, riding their BMW S 1000 RR bikes.
Director BMW Motorrad Motorsport Berthold Hauser has ambitious goals: “Our goal is to close the gap to the leading teams. We are aiming to finish in the top five as regularly as possible and pick up our first podium. That’s the ambitious aim we have set ourselves for our second year in what is an extremely challenging World Championship. However, we are well aware that our competitors have not been standing still either. The Superbike World Championship brings us up against six motorcycle manufacturers who have established themselves on the race track. You can set yourself aims in sport and make plans to achieve them, but you cannot dictate results – those have to be earned out on the track. Team BMW Motorrad Motorsport is working flat out to make this possible.”
Davide Tardozzi, former Ducati team manager will head up team management and operational control at the race tracks. Rainer Bäumel will continue as Head of Overall Project Management and Project Management Engineering, and Tardozzi has been given carte blanche by the German company.
