We all know that Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt is a super aficionado of custom bikes and was caught cruising the streets of L.A. by the paps with this one off bike designed by custom guru Roland Sands.

Pitt’s garage may not have all the bikes that Jay Leno has, but it looks like he’s working on it. We do know that he does have at least three Ducati’s ranging from a Monster 696 to the Desmosedici RR, a couple of Confederates and a series of hot custom bikes including a Shinya Kimura café racer.

Updated: Dutch, editor of Iron Horse Magazine sent us a message saying that Brad’s bike is actually a Jesse Rooke design and made by Swift Motorcycles and it’s called “Scrambler.”

Chabott Engineering custom bike builder Shinya Kimura has put together this café racer for Hollywood hearthrob and motorcycle lover Brad Pitt.

This one off custom bike dubbed ‘Flash’ has a 1974 Ducati engine and the rest is pure Kimura craftmanship with the oil cooler uniquely mounted next to the headlight.

Pitt may want to avoid the paps when he’s out riding, but with stylish bike he’ll stand out even more on the California roads.

MCN spoke to Marshall Terrill about his Steve McQueen biography, Portrait of an American Rebel. A new McQueen film to be based on the book is to be released, with Brad Pitt or Daniel Craig starring, according to reports.

Terrill discusses the legend that is Steve McQueen but also the strong character behind the movie star, that survived against the odds. An extract from the interview is below, but for more check out MCN.

How did your book get picked up for the biopic project?

I’ve had several offers throughout the years but I only wanted to work with a producer who had the same vision that I did, and that was to go the way of ‘the hero’s story.’

Brad Pitt loves motorycles and his garage already includes a Ducati Desmosedici RR, a Monster 696, a Ducati 1100S and a range of customised Harleys. He has been seen riding almost anything on two wheels.

This is Pitt’s new hot ride, chrome, chrome and more chrome, a single swingarm and it looks like a chrome seat. Hopefully it’s only shiny silver coloured fabric because if he leaves this bike out in the sun, he’s going to cook the family jewels when he straddles this beauty.

What happens when you’re Brad Pitt and you’re rolling down the streets of Los Angeles on your expensive custom motorcycle and it suddenly conks out? You ask those bothersome paparazzi that are always following you for a ride.

Pitt also has interesting personalised helmet with the words ‘Daddy’s helmet’s crayoned on it.

Brad has previously admitted that he enjoys riding motorbikes because he feels like he becomes anonymous when he puts his helmet on: “This is my anonymity. With it, I’m just another a**hole on the streets.”

While there are many reasons why you might want Angelina Jolie as a wife, one very good reason (for our TwoWheels readers) is that she gives great birthday presents. Already having given her husband one motorcycle, Jolie provides Brad Pitt with another motorcycle: this time a Ducati Monster 1100S.

Whether Brad Pitt will be able to ride all the motorcycles he has in his collection is a different issue, and now the surprise of a Ducati Monster 1100S titanium, seeing as it’s doing the rounds of the media, may not be such a surprise.

It looks like Jolie takes her husband’s role as a celebrity biker quite seriously, though Angelina doesn’t look like the kind of woman content to be just the passenger. Happy Birthday Brad Pitt…
