When you see this crash video you’re going to say Oh My God! That was Gearlink Kawasaki’s Chris Martin flying over the barriers at Hawthorn bend during the Fuchs-Silkolene British Supersport race yesterday at Brands Hatch.
The race by the way was won by James Westmoreland on a Triumph Daytona 675.
Since this is going to be the last post of the day, we thought that it would be fitting to remember late World Supersport rider Craig Jones with this video tribute.
Jones died from head injuries after a crash in last year’s WSP race at Brands Hatch.
The guys from MCN went to Brands Hatch to test the Suzuki RG500 Replica Sheene. The tester is Michael Neeves, and he certainly gets the sound of the two stroke going.
The incredible thing about this video is we get a look at a 1988 model that’s been done up to imitate Barry Sheene’s 1984 Gran Prix bike. In a moment of nostalgia, we could be back in the 80’s - tester Michael says he’s in love.

The British rider Tom Sykes will replace Noriyuki Haga and will ride for Yamaha next year. This gives further fuel to the rumour that Haga will replace Troy Bayliss in the Ducati Xerox team next year in World Superbike.
Tom is holding second position in the general standings in the British Superbike Championship, riding the Rizla Suzuki GSX-R1000. Given his latest strong performances in World Superbike, riding a Wild Card at the Brands Hatch and the Donington Park races he has become a target for the top World Superbike teams.
Tom’s team mate is not yet known. Troy Corser might also leave the team and ride in the new BMW team like Spaniard Ruben Xaus has already confirmed.

The British Superbike rider Tom Sykes will ride as Wild-Card rider during the next round of World Superbike on September 7 at Donington. Tom rode also as Wild-Card rider during the last SBK round at Brands Hatch and finished 7th. In the British Superbike Championship the Rizla Suzuki rider is on 3th position.
At Donington we will see many British riders. Tom Sykes, Leon Haslam, Cal Crutchlow and James Ellison will all fight as Wild-Card rider for the British crowd.
James Toseland will be happy with so many British riders at World Superbike after the message to give more British riders a chance in the Championship.
