Here’s a look at the tail end of the new MV Agusta F4, to be presented at the upcoming 2009 EICMA. The all-new model from MV Agusta has been completely redesigned by Massimo Tamburini and is exciting debut for the brand, especially in light of the news from Harley Davidson to sell the company.

The 2010 F4 engine will be an in-line four cylinder, 998 cc compact motor that should achieve 186 hp at 12,900 rpm. It has new electronic mapping with an eight level traction control, double injector units, anti-slip clutch and radial valves.

The new MV Agusta F4 will also have completely new chassis and frame components, with a new, lighter and longer fork and swing arm, and adjustable suspension. The headlamp is brand new and the fairing is slimmer, complete with redesigned exhaust unit, too.

The MV Agusta stand at the EICMA is not to be missed, as it will also be featuring the new 2010 Brutale. We’ll be bringing live galleries of them both, so stay tuned, with more pics and a video of the F4 coming right up.

This close-up video from the Brutale presentation shows every aspect of the 2010 Brutale, up close and personal. If we could take it home for dinner, we would. While the video is in Italian, you can get a great idea of the changes MV Augusta has made to its flagship model, keeping to Brutale classicism while giving it some new life.

More pics of the Brutale 990R and 1090RR have been released, and the company seems justifiably proud of its new, mean-looking machine. The 2010 MV Agusta Brutale comes with an engine choice of either 990cc or 1090cc. Essentially the same bike, with the same look and sharing most technical components, the only real difference is in the powerstep.

The Brutale 990R has maximum power of 102kW at 10,600 rpm with 106 Nm of torque. The Brutale 1090RR has 115 Nm of torque, but for full details, see the Brutale specs after the jump, or the full press release courtesy of MVAgusta.net. At first glance, this seems to be the same bike, but when you get up close, you can really tell the difference in the look at the components.

We’ll be bringing you a riding test with details of the new Brutale, with details of its changed riding position, lighter weight and new seat, and mostly how the new machine performs with updated techical specs. Two engines will be available on the new MV Agusta Brutale for 2010: a 990cc and a 1090cc. The press will be testing the new bike today, and it’s looking good for the new year with new wheels, shock absorber and traction control which will be standard on both models. About 85 percent of all the components have been revised.

The bike is lighter, with a new fork longer by 20mm which should give greater balance and more control, thanks also to new suspension, seat and tail. The motor has been re-done with new lubrification, exhaust intake pipes and throttle valves. The traction control is also linked to a sensor on the fork which reads the rear disc screws.

The central unit has two mapping systems, an softer system, and an aggressive one. Power is 109Kw at 11,000 rpm. The Brutale remains faithful to its tradition, keeping its reputation as one of the most attractive naked sportsbikes on the market. For the local Italian market, prices range from 15,500 euros for the 990R, to 18,500 euros 1090RR. More news on a first impression Brutale ride to come.

Juicy information from interviews with the MDs of KTM and MV Agusta by Motorevue has revealed that the two companies are preparing some interesting presentations for the 2009 EICMA show to take place in Milan in November.

Reihnold Zens from KTM France says the company will present a brand new KTM model at the show, despite significant reductions in sales this year (down 30 percent in 2009). Not much information was given, but the model will be a new road bike (maybe a new RC8?) that will go into production before 2012.

MV Agusta will bring both the new Brutale to the show, as well as a virtual remake of the F4 (originally seen as spy shots of a new F3). This will not be just an upgrade to the supersports model, but rather the new F5 with a brand new style and technical details. November is taking its time in coming, and it will be an exciting show, with Ducati, Aprilia and BMW in attendance. Honda and Yamaha will miss EICMA 2009, but we wonder with everything else on offer whether the public will miss them.

MV Agusta and Citroen have teamed up in Italy to put on auction this Citroen C2 Brutale for charity. All proceeds are to go to the reconstruction of student housing destroyed in the Italian town of Aquila after the terrible earthquake of April this year.

The Citroen C2 Brutale is an agressive version of the C2 with the same livery as the Brutale 1078 RR, designed specially by the style department of MV Agusta. The auction starts today on the charity section of e-Bay and concludes on September 14th.

The MV Agusta Brutale is set to get a restyling, as revealed in an interview with Andrea Tamburini from Tamburini Corse. The restyling kit would apply to the single seat version of the Brutale.

Tamburini has revealed that the restyling is designed to make the Brutale more agressive and attractive, with a kit available in parts, meaning you don’t have to buy the whole thing to have the benefit.

The kit would include carbon fibre and alluminium parts, racing components and new graphics from Tamburini Corse. There will also be a new Tamburini clothing range. The restyling is part of a plan of MV Agusta and Ducati accessories that includes models such as the Ducati 916, Cagiva Freccia and Mito, MV Agusta F4 and Brutale.
