Seeing as Honda won’t be at the 2009 EICMA this year, here are all the videos from the Tokyo motor show with the new 2010 Honda models. After the jump, check out the models, including the VFR1200F, Honda scooters, the Shadow 750 Black Spirit and more. For a look at the ABS CBR1000RR and CBR600RR, see our Honda ABS post from yesterday.
In these two videos we get a close-up look of the Honda combined ABS CBR1000RR and the CBR600RR versions for 2010. We can’t understand much from the captions in Japanese, but we’re happy for more close ups of the top-of-the-range sportsbikes.
The C-ABS contributes significantly to the changed riding feel of the Honda CBR1000RR and CBR600RR, with better deceleration and safer hard braking, especially in wet conditions. See our first post for more details on Honda’s ABS technology.

Here we were saying that the new-look Honda CBR600RR “Leyla” colours were a wildlife theme with zebra look, but in fact it seems to be the face of a woman, umm…. enjoying herself. At least that’s what the guys at MCN think. Check it out!
The Honda CBR600RR also gets new colours for 2010 after the CBR1000RR Fireblade and CB1000R both have new looks as well. The engine specs and technology from 2009 remain the same, with the four-stroke, inline four cylinder motor producing 88.1 kW of power at 13,500 rpm and 66 Nm of torque at 11,250 rpm.
The zebra look new colours are Graphite Black, Graphite Black with Italian or Victory Red and Pearl Sunbeam White/Tricolour. The special edition Pearl Sunbeam White with bold graphics is available on the non-ABS version only.
Here are a couple of computer rendering concepts from “TheUncle” on deviantART. The first is a Honda CBR600RR Repsol Carbon, along with two other concepts.
One is a blue and white version (Suzuki?) and the other is in green and black (Kawasaki?), both perhaps designed before the definitive Repsol Carbon. Apart from a couple of elements similar to the KTM RC8, it’s an agressive looking bike. Your thoughts?

Lorenzo Baroni from “Special” magazine has sent us some details from Qatar on the new CBR600RR and CBR1000RR 2009 versions from Honda, with the biggest news being the ABS integrated braking system developed for the top sports range bikes.
The Honda debuts ABS on the first series sports bike with some impressive results, such as rapid deceleration. The strong point in this system is the braking capacity in limited conditions such as wet or dirty roads, and breaking when leaning.
The classic problems of steering and rear blocking are avoided, without limits on the sports nature of the bike or its deceleration power. ABS is available on both models at a price of a little more than 1,000 euros.
We’ve got some great videos on Two Wheels Blog these days, including this one of the Honda CBR600RR my 2009 in action. And like the Ducati 1198 2009 video, it’s got some great editing - all about speed and excitement. After the jump is the video with all the technical details of the Honda Supersport model.
With the performance stats of its 2009 models, Honda is demonstrating its technological strong point. The CBR600RR has been updated for 2009, taking its place in the supersports world.
The introduction of the ABS-CBS braking system is big news. It’s an electronically controlled integrated brake system, coupled with the sports-style ABS. The systems guarantees more contained and balanced braking, in addition to greater safety levels. The front calipers are now monoblock, the same as those on the CBR1000RR.
The engine is now more responsive at regimes of 8000 to 12000 revs, thanks to the increase of 3.5 percent in torque at 10,000 revs. The 88kw of power remains the same, while the titanium exhaust gives a little boost with new electronic valve. Fuel combustion is better monitored through a new sensor.
