The 2011 BMW Motorrad Days which took place last weekend at Garmisch- Partenkirchen proved again just how well the Germans can do an event like this. Organised by BMW and Husqvarna, more than 30,000 motorcyclists took part in the event, forming an impressive parade across the alps as just one of the many activities of the weekend.
Visitors to the BMW Motorrad Days event came from all over the world, and those travelling the furthest were probably the 19 riders who came from Malaysia. The various events of the festival included an enduro track to test ride BMW and Husqvarna offroad models, and stage enduro competitions with champion riders.
The usual show from Chris Pfeiffer, world stunt champion occurred, and he took his beloved BMW F800R to the town centre as well, and BMW Motorrad riders James Toseland, Lorenzo Zanetti and Sylvain Barrier were present. Topping it all off was James Toseland’s rendition of “It’s a long way to the top if ya wanna rock and roll” by ACDC. Check out all the pics below.
BMW Motorrad is celebrating the milestone of having produced two million bikes since 1969 when the first BMW motorcycle rolled off the Berlin Spandau production line. A one-off, special-edition BMW R 1200 GS was presented by Chris Pfeiffer for the occasion, and the bike will be auctioned in the future as part of a project to promote the city of Berlin.
Pfeiffer of course did his motorcycle stunting bit for the gathered guests, using his F 800 R to mark out “2,000,000″ on the tarmac outside BMW Berlin facilities. The latest celebrations come after the BMW S1000RR won bike of the year in Japan, which is nothing short of an incredible achievement for a European brand among the Japanese supersport heavyweights.
BMW is certainly on top of the game for viral videos! Breaking and entering the Innsbruck Olympic Run and playing chicken (more like slicing the footage) with Chris Pfeiffer on a BMW G450X against retired Olympic gold medalist, Christoph Langen on a bobsled.
The video is crazy to watch and Pfeiffer is always a pleasure to watch doing his stunts, but who knew that BMW also made bobsleds?
DNA or imprinting, nature or nurture, whatever you want to call it. Stuntman Chris Pfeiffer’s three-year old son (that’s right 3) Hannes, is not only an adorable rascal to look at, he’s also already pretty great doing donuts with a Yamaha 90 quad.
Daddy is going to have some tough competition in a few years.
By the looks of this video Chris Pfeiffer has gotten over his broken ribs that he picked up after crashing at the Intermot show, because the four times freestyle World Champion hit the busy streets of Buenos Aires with his trusty BMW F 800 R doing it Trial X style for some promo work for BMW Motorrad Argentina and Red Bull.

You are all familiar with freestyler Chris Pfeiffer who stunt rides a modified a BMW F800 R and is a four-time World champion.
The German born stunt rider was performing at the Intermot fair in Cologne when he lost his balance doing a circle wheelie and was struck by the handlebars of his bike breaking three ribs. Pfeiffer who will be one of the stars at next month’s EICMA show, has promised that he’ll be present in Milan to the joy of his numerous fans.

We know that the BMW Motorrad days is a big event, but seeing Chris Pfeiffer work his magic in the flesh would be quite something. This gallery shows the world stunt-riding champion with his faithful F 800 R and with the BMW S1000RR - it seems there’s nothing this bike can’t do.
Stunt rider Chris Pfeiffer is heading on a world tour with Red Bull and the first stop was the city of Colombo in Sri Lanka, where he delighted the crowds with burn outs, wheelies and stoppies.
We all know Pfeiffer is simply awesome performing motorcycle stunts on a F800 R, but check out how he also wowed fans by using a simple bicycle backwards up.
Here’s a look at Chris Pfeiffer snow motorcycling with a modified version of the BMW G450X for the snow. With the winter season coming on, we’ll be seeing more snow-tuned motorcycles out for some off-road, on the snow fun, though with Pfeiffer falling over a couple of times, it’s probably harder than it looks. The G450X has been modified with BMW’s “Snowcat” kit.
Check out this skyscraper stunt as Chris Pfeiffer performs new stunts on the roof of the BMW tower. Not only does Pfeiffer perform some impressive moves, he does it at dizzying heights. Not a video for the faint-hearted.

Hendrik von Kuenheim, BMW Motorrad President, has kept his promise when he declared last November that BMW was evaluating the possibility of commercialising the F800 R Chris Pfeiffer Edition that was presented to the public at the Eicma in Milan.
BMW will be selling just 68 units of this limited-edition replica in honour of Chris Pfeiffer, the four time World and European stunt champion.
The bike has Chris Pfeiffer’s signature on the tank, sponsors’ logos that can be optionally applied and a white front wheel rim and a black on the rear, just like Peiffer’s own bike that he uses in competitions. It’s fitted with an Akrapovic titanium exhaust system and has LED indicators. Since the bike is supposed to be a stunt replica it’s missing the headlamp mini fairing, but for road riders it could be useful, but it does have a pillion seat cover.
The 68 replicas will be sold only in Europe and for the German market the price is fixed at 8.940 euros.

The 2009 edition of BMW Motorrad Days at Garmisch-Partenkirchen was a success with more than 30,000 visitors from 30 countries attending the event. Official BMW SBK riders Troy Corser and Ruben Xaus made an appearance, and in the Stunt area presented the BMW S1000RR road bike.
Talking of actual stunts, champion Chris Pfeiffer left more than one spectator speechless in a show with his F800R, and a mountain bike acrobatics show featured Igor Obu and Andreas Schuster (who ever said you could do THAT with a bicycle?).
Motard and Enduro shows also took place, along with track trials of the current BMW Motorrad range, which took in the picturesque town. For BMW car fans, the X3, X5 and X6 were present with some opportunity to try out extreme driving with this range of luxury SUVs.
