Earlier this month we reported that Colin Furze had attempted another Guinness World record by building and riding the longest motorbike, 72ft or 22mt whichever you prefer, because now it’s official as this nutty, but genial inventor has got the record in his pocket.
Check out the video of Furze and his latest creation in action and we can safely say that scooter must be a real bitch to take through a turn.

The saying idle hands are the devil’s tools certainly can’t be applied to Colin Furze, because the 31-year old plumber/inventor is back with another world record.
Furze, in 2008 broke the world record for the longest and ridable motorcycle that was 14 meters long, but now has taken it a very long step forward, by building in his mother’s bike yard, a 22 meter (72ft) long bike that seats 25.
Just like in 2008, he rode it on the runway at Saltby Airfield in Lincolnshire taking it to the top speed of 35mph, for almost a mile, but it wasn’t an easy feat according to the inventor, “When I first got on it I thought it would never work and at a slow speed it’s almost impossible to keep upright. But once you get going it becomes a bit easier, although it is a real strain on your arms as it has such heavy steering.” He also added, “This motorbike was so heavy and difficult to drive I think it would be impossible to make a longer bike. I think this record will stand for a very long time.”
The attempt is still pending verification by the Guinness World of Records.

Our favourite prankster and record breaker Colin Furze, has come up with another of his crazy ideas. After the longest motorbike and the flame throwing scooter, the British plumber decided to modify a mobility scooter and make it into the world’s fastest scooter and grab a second Guinness World Record while he was at it.
Using the engine from his 1997 CR125 motocross bike and rebuilding the frame, adding gears and exhausts, but not allowed to change the outward appearance of the scooter, he broke 71.59mph at the Santa Pod Raceway, while the previous record was 62mph.
Furze’s scooter gets 10 miles to the gallon and is nearly nine times faster than an average mobility scooter.
“It’s great to have set the record and have the speed clocked officially and fantastic to have gone over 70mph, I’m ecstatic,” said Mr Furze.

Colin Furze, the plumber/inventor after his latest harebrained invention, the flame throwing scooter, got his ass hauled into jail the other day after being arrested on suspicion of committing a firearms offence after being pictured riding the scooter on a public road.
Furze’s stunt not only made the rounds of the papers, but also numerous websites, including our own, before it it was removed this weekend from being viewed by the larger public.
The 30 year old plumber has not been charged, but has been released on police bail.

Remember Colin Furze and how he built the longest motorcycle? Well the mad inventor from Stamford is back with another of his crazy ideas, a flame throwing scooter that not only shoots 12 ft flames straight out, but he can also change the angle of the flames.
It tooke Furze a month of work and three attempts before he got it right on this ultimate road rage machine and the plumber and part time inventor said: “It’s a lot of fun and when I fire the flames out the back it makes me feel just like James Bond.”
Thankfully the local cops got wind of Furze’s latest invention and have already and sternly warned him that he cannot be allowed to ride this scooter on the road: “I’ve been told that if I fire the flames while riding on the road it’s equivalent to using a firearm and I could be in a lot of trouble.” he said.
What do you do if you yearn to be famous and want to break records and are a sort of prankster? You do exactly what the young fellow in the video did, you build the world’s longest motorbike and then you ride it.
Colin Furze broke the world record by riding this homemade 14 meter machine to smash the previously held record of riding a 9.6 m bike. In order to qualify, Colin had to ride the bike 100 meters which he did on a runway at Saltby Airfield in Lincolnshire, he also doing a short stint of riding with no hands.
Furze is not new to breaking records, which includes building the biggest bonfire, so he wanted to try something new:
“I had a look through the motorbike world records and all the speed ones seemed far too expensive to try to break, so I thought we go for this - a nice big long one. It’s been a lot of fun.
“It’s taken a lot of building. You start doing something at one end and then you want to do something at the other end and of course your tools are 14 metres away - so you’re contantly walking up and down the garden.”
