Evidently Harley-Davidson is doing something right in advertising lately in trying to keeping up their lifestyle mystique while trying to capture younger motorcycle audience, because the American motorcycle company is the third top finisher in the UK’s CoolBrands list, beating out trendy marques like Ducati and MV Agusta (which have been on the top ten list in the past).

CoolBrands is branch of Superbrands UK and the yearly survey is voted for by 2,000 members of the public after a panel of 36 designers, style experts and media personalities give their ratings.

“Cool is subjective and personal. But being identified as a cool brand by the British public and a panel of influential opinion formers implies it is a brand that most Brits wish to own,” said chairman of the CoolBrands Expert Council and former brand analyst Stephen Cheliotis.

Some of you have missed this piece of interesting news last October, but Ducati has been named again amongst the UKs top 20 coolest brands by influential CoolBrands opinion makers and a public survey.

Ducati was included in such a prestigious list of brand names as Aston Martin, Apple, YouTube, Ferrari and Google. Aston Martin was picked as the coolest brand in the UK for this year, while Ducati was voted as the first brand in the motocycle category and came in fourteenth in the overall category.

The Ducati has always been regarded as one of the most prestigious brands in the world and no more so than in the UK, where it has regularly featured among the CoolBrands list and was voted the UKs number one back in 2002.

Ducati’s success is mainly due the introduction of new models such as Streetfighter, the Hypermotard, and the new generation of Monster 696 and 1100 and her 1198, can be considered as one the most beautiful bikes in her category alongside the Desmosedici RR Motogp replica.
