The Yamaha YZ450F and Yamaha YZ250F from the Monster Energy Motocross 2010 team have been revealed, showing the bikes and the livery that riders David Philippaerts, Gautier Paulin, Ken De Dycker, Loic Larrieu and Alessandro Lupino will use. The team has a couple of successful riders with 2008 world champion Philippaerts and 19-year-old Paulin last year gaining third in MX-2.
There is also the fortunate acquisition of Ken De Dycker in his first appearance for Yamaha in MX-1 after last year’s hard fought season, and Larrieu will hope to complete a good year after injuries last season. The Motocross season official kicks off at Sevlievo in Bulgaria in two months’ time, and the new Yamahas are looking awfully good in that livery.

September 14 is a memorable day for Yamaha as David Philippaerts won the world MX1 championship in the saddle of a YZ450FM.
As a dedication to its off-road fans, Yamaha is including the YZ450F Motocross Team Replica in its off-road 2009.
Developed in conjunction with Yamaha Racing and Team Yamaha Monster Motocross, the new and exclusive YZ450F team replica derives from the production series model 2009 and will be available in Europe in only 100 units. The models will have some “stolen” Yamaha components from some of the official MX1 models.
24-year-old David Philippaerts has been crowned motocross world champion in the MX1 class. The Monster Yamaha team rider finished the final races in third place for race one, and ninth place for race two, but the overall ranking was important.
Philippaerts finished with 509 points in the ranking after three victories and 13 podiums, with Belgian Steve Ramon and Suzuki finishing second with 495 points. In third place on 490 points was Ken De Dycker (Belgian too), who also rides a Suzuki.
David Philippaerts was born in Pietrasant in Tuscany, whose first victory was as Italian champion in the 125cc class in 2003. He finished third in the Mx2 championship in 2006, and in the two latest seasons raced in the highest class, finishing sixth in 2007.

The YZF is a name that guarantees: it invented the four-stroke of the modern cross, showing the way for those who followed. And now the Yamaha YZ four-stroke (with an F), is among the bikes that have dominated motocross, starting from the 1997 debut, and since 2004 has won more world titles than any other in the MX1 and MX2 classes.
The YZF have been the perfect alliance between champions of calibre such as Josh Coppins and David Philippaerts (in Mx1) in addition to local Antonio Cairoli in the MX2, who are around again in 2008 to race in the world championships.
We also add that Chad Reed has recently won the prestigious AMA-SX, and even in the World Female Championships Katherine Prumm is battling with her YZ250F: and the scene is complete.
