President and CEO of Ducati, Gabriele Del Torchio, has announced on Desmoblog that the company has been recognized in Milan in In Moto’s bike-of-the-year competition.

Ducati was the main focus winnning in the sports category with the 1098 S and followed by the Desmosedici RR, first in the Supermotard category with the Hypermotard and first also with the Multistrada 1100 S in the road category. In 2007 the 1098 was also awarded the “Best Bike of the Year” award by SWA - Supertest World Association.

In the naked category the MV Augusta Brutale 910 won, best in the Chopper/cruiser category was the Harley Davidson V-Rod while the Kawasaki 1400 GTR won the tourer and sport-tourer category. Following is the complete ranking of the prizes.
