Rossi sending messages to Yamaha and Ducati?

By Toni M.

rossi-lorenzo misano

Masao Furusawa may have said that Valentino Rossi is a genius and that he wants the Italian superstar to finish his career in Yamaha and Rossi has said confirmed several times that he too would like to finish his career with the Iwata company, but since Jorge Lorenzo has resigned for another year, the Italian rider has been talking differently and sending out signals to both Yamaha and Ducati.

The factory Yamaha team has been a Rossi stronghold since his sensational switch from Honda back in 2004 and Lorenzo’s presence in the garage despite the wall, is starting to annoy the 8 times world champion.

Lorenzo as a team mate has become one of Rossi’s most formidable rivals on track, the Italian has voiced his opinion about the fact that the Spaniard will now have a say in part of the development of the M1 as part of his contract agreement and that the team will now two top riders instead of the usual one that all of the other teams have.

Casey Stoner's Anti-Tow Device

By Toni M.

stoner and skunk

Ducati’s Casey Stoner is always upset and angry when slower MotoGP riders try to hitch a tow from him.

The Australian has been seen kicking out at rivals and giving them the finger, like in Assen GP qualifying session against Sete Gibernau and naming names of riders who do it regularly and disturb him.

This is a new device that Filippo Preziosi has thought up and designed to keep other riders away from his star, obviously it’s only a prototype, but we think it will work perfectly.

Send your funny, bizarre or surprising pics to us and we’ll post them, with your name. We’d love to share what you guys find in the world of motorcycling! Send to: pics@twowheelsblog.com

By Toni M.

Bayliss at Ducati Test

Retired three times SBK Champion Troy Bayliss completed his first day of testing of Desmosedici GP9 at Mugello yesterday alongside test rider Vittoriano Guareschi. It was a first time that Bayliss got back on a MotoGP bike after his sensational win at Valencia back in 2006.

Last year Ducati tried to line up Bayliss and Max Biaggi test ride the GP8 in order to to find out why their struggling riders (Melandri, Elias and Guintoli) were languishing near the back of the grid. The proposal fell through when Bayliss declined saying that his priority was winning his 3rd title and Biaggi was injured and had to beg off.

Having Bayliss test ride this year’s Ducati and the GP10, Livio Suppo is hoping that some of the feedback will help this year’s struggling riders and find out why they’re not doing at least the same times as pre-season testing and that Preziosi render the GP10 a rider friendly bike or they may not find someone willing to ride the red missile from Borgo Panigale.
