I have to say I quite like lobster but it almost gives me the creeps seeing this motorcycle model made from lobster. The crayfish gets sculpted into a motorcycle by Huang Mingbo, who is described as a food carving artist. The funny motorcycle pics come from a seminar on cooking art in China and show the scale model right down to the last details including the wheel. At the very least we’re impressed by his efforts.

We all know Aussies love a good ‘barbie’, but this effort to pick up a used one is perhaps going too far. This funny motorcycle pic shows Michael Wiles riding along Melbourne’s Eastern freeway, looking through the grill of a barbecue he picked up off the side of the road. On another motorist snapping the picture and publishing in the media, Wiles has been charged with careless driving and fined $800 AUD (about 550 euros).

Wiles had seen the abandoned barbecue on the nature strip, and needing one at home, decided to try to get it there on his motorcycle. Apparently the barbecue was a ‘dud’ and from what we know of them, that seems to be evident from the picture - or why was it abandoned in the first place? (Wiles is a New Zealander anyway, so maybe he didn’t know…).

Meanwhile, the court magistrate issuing the fine was more than a little surprised about the case before him. According to court reports, it could only be described as ridiculous and even lead to discussions of what objects are carried around on motorcycles in countries such as Vietnam. Wiles has since declined an offer to participate in advertising for the retail chain, Barbecues Galore.

This gospel-going, Indian-style-taxi tuned Moto Guzzi has so much character you’ve got to look at it more than once to take in all the details. I figure it’s a limousine Moto Guzzi version, and while there doesn’t seem to be a backseat, I’m sure you can fit some wine on there somewhere.

This photo comes from the guys at Motoblog.it and shows a couple of bikes that were on sale at the 2009 EICMA for the grand total of 300 euros. The company in question, Madjin, decided it would be too expensive to ship their motorcycles back to their country of origin (China? Indonesia? If anyone knows…). So they decided to sell them directly from EICMA. I wonder how many were purchased?

Here’s a KTM SX50 in pieces after a jump attempt that has created a KTM wreck looking more like a chopper than an offroad. The pic was sent to us from Yongki in Indonesia, though we didn’t get an answer as to whether the rider had survived the jump (unless the bike was attempting it on its own…).
