Garelli will be present at the 2009 EICMA motorcycle show next week, with its XO’ 50 scooter model. The 50cc model will be included in the XO’ range of 125 and 150 cc, but will be a more compact scooter with its own chassis components.

The scooter is designed for easy, daily city riding and has a 16-inch front wheel and a 14-inch wheel at the rear. Front and rear brake discs make this smaller scooter very safe for its class, and the XO’ 50 can be fitted with a windshield. It features underseat storage, a flat foot platform and a new dash for easy reading.

Two motors are available with the scooter: an air cooled two-stroke and an air cooled, two valve four-stroke. The Garelli XO’ 50 will be available from March 2010 at extremely competitive price of somewhere less than 2000 euros.

Presented at the EICMA show last year, the new Garelli scooters will be available from June on the European market. The scooter are entirely designed and built in Italy, and include the GSP 50, and the urban scooters XO 125 and 150.

The GSP 50 is a racing scooter for the younger market, with a liquid cooled twin radiator, double disc brakes, 13 inch wheels and digital odometer. At a highly competitive price of just 1,890 euros, the GSP 50 is available in orange, blue, white and black colours.

The XO is available in both 125 and 150 versions, designed to offer both comfort and safety. Large 16-inch wheels are equipped with disc brakes and the direct injection engine has technology developed with Ducati Energy.

The colours for the XO include city style colours of grey, white, blue and black. The 125cc costs 2,090 euros while the 150cc sells for a price of 2,190 euros. See the Garelli site for more information.

Monday is scooter day on Twowheels blog, it seems, as we take a look at the Garelli GSP 50. In addition to the XO 125/150 ie that Garelli presented at the Eicma show, this racing scooter was also on display.

Garelli designed all the details, including the engine, combining colours, performance and technology worthy of superbike status fun, but also safety. The racing nature can be seen in the agressive lines and air intakes essential for the liquid cooled engine.

The chassis has been studied to provide for a sports riding position, reinforced by the light alloy 13-inch wheels, and 130mm lowered tyres.

Garelli has been undergoing a complete makeover recently, after its Flexì 50 and Tiesse 50 R, and has now presented at the Eicma motorcycle show in Milan two interesting novelties: the XO’ 125 i.e and 150 i.e.

The XO 125 and 150 are designed for robust urban use, including the praticality, versatility and comfort required of a metropolitan scooter. The new Garelli project has been designed to offer maximum comfort and safety, with a reinforced chassis for sudden braking and change in direction, 16-inch alloy wheels, double disc brakes and a softer suspension system for greater comfort.

The engine with electronic ignition is powerful but fuel efficient with low environmental impact. The price hasn’t been released, but we’re already impressed by its clean and modern style, and we’ll have the chance to do a test drive soon.

Garelli Outlet is a new sales channel from Garelli that will distribute the company’s scooters. Garelli Outlet points differentiate themselves from the traditional network because they distribute two specific product ranges. Scooters sold through the outlets, found in major distribution groups, will use the same services of the traditional network.

The outlet range includes the Ciclone 50, Capri 50 LX, Noi 125 and 150i, and from June the brand new Rider 50. The Ciclone 50 is a functional base model with underseat storage, and is ideal for vacations, for example to include with your caravan or boat.

The Capri LX50 is a young model for cool girls who want an original and colourful model that reflects American style. Custom instruments, four-stroke engine and underseat storage are all part of this model.
