Julien Dupont did another of his illegal, but exciting Ride the World escapades. The French freestyler who invented this urban discipline loves to surprise and this time he chose a bridge on the A6 highway near Madrid.
This is the third time that Dupont has gone over a bridge beam, here he was using a TXT 300 Pro Gas Gas trials bike, the first time he did a bridge was in Lione, France and the second time was on the Efede bridge in Holland.
To satisfy even the most demanding, 2009 sees the arrival of the new Gas Gas Raga Replica, with an original and striking livery. It will be available from the end of April in 125, 250, 280 and 300 cc versions.
The new Gas Gas Replica Raga 2009 features new racing livery, new header (Ergal 70 75 TG), curved S3 titanium exhuast with carbon muffler, DID rear rims, new X Light Michelin tyres, magnesium carter, Kaihin carburettor (for the 280 and 300 cc versions) and Dell’Orto carburettor for the 125 and 250.
Check out the Gas Gas site for more information.
After the impressive success of 2008 in the E3 category, Gas Gas has decided to dedicate a replica version of the EC 300 to rider, Christophe Nambotin.
Nambotin, along with the bike, have become a benchmark for Gas Gas, and here we see the Nambotin R, produced only for the French market (unfortunately, but then we can’t always get what we want).
There will be a brief distribution in Italy as well, through F & G., for lovers of extreme offroad motorcycling. The main characteristics of the bike include Nambotin Replica graphics, front Sachs fork, rear Ohlins 888 shock absorber, FMF muffler and Galfer Wave Racing brakes (front and rear). The chassis has also been redesigned with stronger but lighter alloy features.
The Gas Gas Italy site has listed new models for 2009, including trial, enduro and Halley models.
News for the trial includes a new chrome chassis, lighter carbon silencer, slimmer tank, renewed electronic system, a new rear brake pedal and Euro3 regulated. The models are all equipped with two stroke engines in the 50, 80, 125 and 280cc categories. New colourings are available with a white base.
After more than 20 years (1985) since the debut of the first Halley 327, taken to the world trial championships by Gabino Renales, Gas Gas evokes the legendary model, transforming the Halley into a supermotard destined for a younger public: and so the Halley SM 125 is born.
It’s a prototype for about 15 hp, equipped with a 124 cc one-cylinder two stroke engine, liquid cooled, six speed shift and uses a 27mm carburettor.
The Halley SM 125 has a 9.5 litre tank and weighs 100kg. It will be the first model of the range and should be available commercially from May, with a new 450 SM and a 124 four-stroke version completing the package.
The new Halley will be exhibited at the MotOh! BCN 2008 alongside the new 2009 off road range.
