After our news on Schumacher testing the Honda CBR1000RR from Team Ten Kate, we give you the video of him on the Fireblade 2008. Technically not bad, we think.
Arrow has prepared a series of exhausts for the Honda CBR1000RR that should satisfy all tastes, from original collectors exhausts to a competition kit, developed for Team TenKate.
The Indy-Race terminals are a racing version available in titanium, alluminium and carbon, with header collectors in steel or carbon. Apart from a change in look for your bike, you should notice a reduction in weight of about 2.5 kg compared to the original exhaust system.
The exhaust can be mounted on the original collectors, using a special system, or on Arrow collectors. With only the one terminal, maximum power reaches about 162 hp, while with the complete kit, the increase can be up to 166hp, compared to the original 158hp of the model itself.
Honda’s new CBR1000RR will be presented for 2009 with only one, but substantial, novelty - the introduction of the integrated sports braking system ABS-CBS, which will be available as an optional.
The brake system has been introduced on the CBR600RR as well, guaranteeing greater braking performance and safety. The Honda CBR1000RR will be the motorcycle to beat in this category, in terms of technology, versatility and performance.
The ABS combined system is available in Pearl Sunbeam White/Repsol replica, and includes an independent smaller motor, while at the rear of the bike the ECU electronic system is held. The model with electronic ABS has the added touch of racing colour calipers in Sherry Topaz Brown Metallic.

Micron has announced the arrival of new GP-Sport silencers for the Honda CBR1000RR 2008. The MotoGP-style silencers were launched last year and in 2006 won the MCN best product awards - they’ve become famous for increasing performance and their innovative look.
The GP-Sport silencers for the CBR1000RR are part of a new line constructed with hydro-form technology which adapt it perfectly to the shape of the motorcycle. The new silencer substitutes the original and is exclusively produced by Micron, adapted to the Fireblase and available in three finishes: shiny steel, brushed silver and ceramic black.
The new Micron exhaust reduces weight by 2.6 kg, and increases power by 3.5hp to 7,500rpm, with an extra 2.7Nm of torque. The GP-Sport is BSAU1983/T3 approved for road use and reduces noise as per the original silencer.
Removing the silencer still adheres to norms regarding noise on the track, producing only 97dB at 5,500 revs. The brushed silver version is available at about 564 euros, while the black and steel versions can be purchased for 658 euros. More details are available on www.styl-moto.com.
