Ducati has announced the extension of its colour range. Pearl white will be added for the two top models, the Hypermotard and the Multistrada.
“Pearl white will create an eye-catching and competition style contrast against the red frame and the new carbon-grey parts for the Hypermotard 100S. On the “S” version of the Multistrada, the pearl white shade achieves a more sophisticated contrast against the grey frame,” according to the press release.
Both new versions will become available during September and they will be officially shown at the international Motorcycle Show in Cologne, Intermot hall 8, from 7th October.

This could be the new bike from the American - Italian MV factory. It’s a nice looking 675 Triple Sportsbike with Brembo brakes, underseat exhaust pipes, trellis frame and swing-arm. Its style sits between an MV, the Triumph Daytona 675 and a Ducati 1098. In my opinion really beautiful.
We are all waiting for some news from MV and we hope they will soon bring a new MV-Agusta to the market. We can’t wait to see the real bike!

The NCR Ducati 848 has won again, this time at the twisting and bumpy Atlantic Motorsport Park track in Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia. The two riders, Andrew Nelson and the Italian Valter Bartolini were riding with big smiles on their faces enjoying the wild corners of the racetrack.
In race one Andrew’s shift lever broke and was leaving the bike in neutral after the first lap and Valter finished ahead of Michael Leon on his KTM with Michael Ferrera in third riding a BMW.
In race two, both riders got a good start and Andrew broke the class track record with a 1:09.173 leading the race before Valter.
Valter Bartolini is leading the Superbike Series in the Thunder Class with 256 points, team mate Andrew Nelson is second with 209 points. Third the Buell rider Darren James holds 198 points followed by Michael Ferrera, the BMW rider with 196 points.
The final round is on August 28-31 at Shannonville, Ontario.
Ducati Motor Holding S.p.A. is to be absorbed by the 3 largest share holders into a new company. This new company called “Performance Motorcycles S.p.A.” wants to consolidate the remaining outstanding shares of the company. Ducati leadership says the plan will be drawn up and approved by the board of directors in September.
Ducati achieved a net profit of €13.3 million in 2007, up from a debt of €8.5 million in 2006.
We wonder about this change again after the good financial results from Ducati. However, we hope and wish all the best for Ducati!

All great pilots from today and the past started at early ages. Good physical condition, experience and a good feeling with the bike are the most important elements to develop great skills. A good start for the young ones is definitely the Polini Minibike Cup.

Did we mention we love Vespa? I want one, especially if it’s the GTS 300 Super. Anyway, in this strange little video, you can see that Vespa is not about big boys showing off. Vespa is about subtle Italian romance…
With the motto “life is too precious to wear an ordinary helmet”, Fashion Helmet has created a line of helmets inspired by on-the-road American bikers and fashion trends.
With the philosophy that helmets are not just a safety aspect but also a fashion accessory, these versions appear in pastel colours and brilliant graphics to give a sprightly touch to urban fashion. For the next spring/summer 2009 range Fashion Helmet presents some new designs, strictly Made in Italy available for men, women and kids.

Yesterday we checked out the American version of an Italian Ducati, and now it seems the Americans are playing with motorcycle tuning again, this time on Aprilia. As reported by Top Speed, you can take your old Aprilia to the guys over at MotoMorphic in California.
After taking an Aprilia Mille and transforming it into the JaFM#1, the guys were off to the Isle of Man with their new creation but have ran into some technical development issues. They have also tried their hand at an Aprilia Falco, morphing it into the “HellPig”.
Despite its new “poetic” name, I frankly prefer the original. We wonder what Aprilia thinks of the new design…?

Dedicated to who wants to follow fashion but with a touch of irony, the new jet helmets from Moschino are youthful, elegant, comfortable and functional.
Brought about from a collaboration with Max Safety Fashion, Piedmontese company who manufactures helmets, the Moschino Helmets offer comfort and style, with a visor similar to sunglasses, leather finish and anti-perspirant fabric.
Models available are Peace&Love, with a red heart and green peace sign, in black or gold. They sell for around 215 euros, or with the zip in gold or silver, at about 275 euro.
