This new RSJ jet helmet in fibre comes from French producer Shark and is one of the first jet helmets that combines comfort, style and safety at a lower price.
The RSJ is available on the European market and includes five single colours of white, black metal, black metal mat, silver metal and silver metal mat. The helmet is available in sizing from XS to XL at the price of about 300 euros.
At that price you get composite fibre materials, air flow canals, anti scratch visor with rapid attachment, removable and washable inner lining and a weight of 1350 grams.
The Riviera S is the new Caberg jet helmet for everyday city use with a double cut shell. The visor is anti-scratch and can be easily replaced without special tools. The external shell is made from high resistance thermal plastic and the internal lining can be removed and washed.
The closure is a microthermic buckle, while the weight of the helmet comes in at 1050 grams. The style and colours available range from the simple mono-colour versions of silver, opaque black, metal black and gun metal, to the Riviera S Essence line for girls. There is also a Riviera S Pure range for the guys, with a 70’s style that includes white and black colours.
Sizes range from XS, S and M for the smaller cut, and L, XL, XXL for the larger shell cut. For more information go to www.caberg-helm.com.
Summer here means a look at jet helmets, and Bieffe has presented its new Jet Digit, for use in city traffic. The T.P Resyn shell is a hardy material, and P.S internal lining creates air flow among more channels than usual.
The Jet Digit visor has a basic model with UV filter and anti-scratch properties. The internal lining can be removed and washed, and sizes available range from XS to XXL, at a price of 88 euros.
Here’s another helmet solution from Shoei called J-Wing, and while it’s a jet helmet, it’s versatile enough to suit riders of scooters or tourism bikes.
The internal padding of the helmet is different from most jet helmets, as it’s designed for longer trips. Five different internal layers make for both comfort and safety. The visor is integrated into the shell, like most Shoei products and the ventilation is incredible - creating an internal canal of airflow.
The J-Wing is made from AIM organic fibres and fibreglass, making for a light helmet. Three sizes are available which cover a range from XXS to L, then L and XL, and then XL above. Colours available include black, opaque black, light silver, antracite and white and the new pearl grey as seen in the photo. The price is 438 euros.
