One of the most lively stands at the 2012 Motor Bike Expo in Verona is Kawasaki’s, which brought its full line up at the event in Verona as well as some ’special gusts’, such as the customized W800 by Angel that we introcuded a few posts back. Among the models at the green stand, the newVersys 1000 and the twin sisters ER-6n and ER-6f. Check them out in our photo gallery.

Our friends from Motoblog.it have uploaded a two-minutes-long video that will let you have a look to the Kawasaki stand at the 2011 EICMA. The new Kawasaki Versys, the twin sisters ER-6n and Er-6f, the new ZZR 1400 and some Ninjas are featured, as well as some nice hostess. You better check it out.

Fun, Style and Easy. These seem to be the key words for Kawasaki’s ER sisters in 2012. However, this is not a restyling as both the naked Er-6n and the half-naked Er-6f have been revised in many aspects, with also a brand new frame accommodating the 650cc engine.
Aesthetically the pair is also quite different from the previous generation, especially as far as headlamp and exhaust end can are concerned, while new ergonomics allows the rider to sit and ride more comfortably. Kawasaki claims an output of 72 hp at 8,500 rpm with 64 Nm of maximum torque at 7,000 rpm. The ER-6n weights 204kg, 6 kg less than the 6f.
Unfortunately the Kawasaki ER-6N 2010 video is no more exciting than the infomercial for the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R, but at least it’s a bike that doesn’t really need to prove itself. We get a good look at the ER-6N which is essentially the same for 2010, with a colour update from Kawasaki reserved for this model, too. The ER-6N is available in Lime Green / Metallic Flat Spark Black, Pearl Blazing Orange and Ebony.
Kawasaki has a new range of colours for its 2010 ER-6n and ER-6f, updating the 650cc model for the coming year. The colours available for the Kawasaki ER-6n include Lime Green/Metallic Flat Spark Black, Pearl Blazing Orange and Ebony. The ER-6f comes in Candy Lime Green/Flat Super Black, Pearl Stardust White/Flat Super Black and Ebony/Metallic Phantom Silver.
“Biondi by Superauto” has on offer these two accessories for the Kawasaki ER-6n 2009.
The “Guest” windshield and cover is available in dark smoky black design and can be assembled with the included assembly kit and without any changes to the original parts.
The adjustable numberplate holder can also be easily assembled on removing the original holder. It gives the ER-6n and added sports style and agression.
The windshield and numberplate holder are available for about 85 euros for the former, and 50 euros for the latter. See the Biondi by Superauto site for details.
The Kawasaki ER-6n Design Competition has closed, after three months and a whopping 22,230 entries from around Europe. From Italy, there were 8,544 design projects, and the Italian winner is Lorenzo Pittola, with this ZETA-n design. Other winners and images coming up.
Kawasaki has decided to promote their new ER-6n in a unique way and have launched a contest called “ER-6n Design Competition”.
Through their website www.kawasaki.eu/ER-6n you can enter a virtual paint shop where you can put your creativity and stylish graphics to work . Your design will then be judged and voted by everyone who visits the website and who receives the most votes will win a real limited edition of the ER-6n created by French design studio OCD.
Even if you don’t have an artistic bone in your body, you can always have fun by voting your favorite design, and if your lucky you could be one of the three voters to win a Kawasaki jacket.
The contest entry deadline is April 9th 2009.
This brief test drive of the Kawasaki ER-6 from the Italians at MotoTV has both models come off quite well in the testing. The video is in Italian but in essence, they say it’s a versatile bike, and a real alternative for both city traffic riding and short trips.
The biggest difference is perhaps in the look, although some chassis and frame updates have been included, with more rigid suspension, reduced vibrations and greater overall comfort. The 72hp naked is also said to be a great bike for women and one of the most impressive aspects is the cornering. The bike will be available from January at 6,200 euros, an extra 500 euros for the ABS option.
On the Kawasaki motors Youtube channel, you can two new videos from the company on the Kawasaki ER-6n my 2009 and the Ninja ZX-6R my 2009.
The two videos show the images and a presentation of the Kawasaki bikes both on track, and at the recent Intermot 2008 show. Above is the Ninja video, after the jump that of the ER-6N.
For next year the best seller Kawasaki ER-6 will be renewed, but keeping its captivating look and quality while splitting itself into two versions: the ER-6N and the ER-6F.
The ER-6F model presents a new look, clearly inspired by the sporty Ninja models. A new line is longer and more angular, giving the bike an agressive look. The tank also has a new design.
The ER-6F is a completely new bike with high quality finishes which is fun and easy to ride. It’s philosophy is a bike for everyone with parallel twin cylinder at 650cc and 72hp at 8,500 rpm.
