While the popular Laglisse team who won this year’s CEV Moto2 2011 championship with Jordi Torres is waiting to know if they’ll be allowed a CRT entry in MotoGP, they’ve also decided to compete in the 2012 inaugural Moto3 season.
The Spanish team will be fielding Efren Vazquez and Adrian Martin as their riders and Vazquez was at Almeria yesterday testing the Honda NSF250R that the Laglisse team will using next season.
Vasquez competed the 2011 season with 125cc Avant-AirAsia-Ajo team finishing 7th in the standings, while Martin rode for Bankia Aspar’s 125cc team and finished 13th overall.

As we reported last week that Jorge Lorenzo was going to personally sponsor long time friend Ricky Cardus in the Spanish CEV with the X Fuera logo and here’s a neat photo of the two Spanish riders together with the Laglisse Suter MMX bike with Lorenzo’s logo on display.
With the Motegi GP postponed and flights grounded across Europe, Lorenzo was able to attend the opening round of the CEV Championship where he watched his friend make his debut in the Moto2 category at the Catalunya circuit and take an excellent fourth place in a closely fought race, which saw Cardus miss the the third spot on the podium by just 0.047s.
The Moto2 race was won by Jordi Torres.
